I now have nothing to walk.

I had a 10km egg hatch into a Mareep, with about 60 candies, so now have my Ampharos.

I now need all the regionals, all the legendaries (rural player, no friends), and Girafig, Milktank and Unknown. None of which I can walk for candy. So I'm walking my Tyrannitar to be able to upgrade him more. Although he needs 6 candies per upgrade currently.

I've got all the new Halloween ones, but am catching all of them to get my Ghost Medal, after which I'll stop bothering.

I'm running out of love for the game...

I might have been tempted to pick it up again when the full Gen 3s are released, but after not playing for a few weeks I'm astonished at how much battery it was using and I can't see me going back. I logged in when I was in Bruges at the weekend and it used 20% of my battery in about 10 minutes (iPhone 7). I suppose I'd gotten used to having to keep it topped up when I was playing fairly regularly, but since stopping I've realised that it was just Pokemon Go that was ruining the battery.

Sorry, Niantic, but you need to sort out the power profile of your game. I

Pretty much the same situation I'm in, except I'm still 30 candies short of Amphoros, But I have caught Girafarig and Miltank.

Had all the halloween ones within 24 hours. I'm sure the other events have been a bit more challenging, the double candy has made it too easy, plus being able to catch the evolved forms isn't right for me.

Just walking with Mareep, as well as trying to rack up the 50 coins a day, and using teh streaks to build up stardust and XP.

The dog still needs walking so it'll still be on twice a day for that.

Trying to decide whether to keep a buffer of 1,500 coins (when I get there) for event boxes, as they seem to offer decent value sometimes. (I'm not going to spend real money on them though.)

Or just smash into regular incubators to keep drilling through the 5km eggs in the hope of something good coming out of them...

Is there anything else from the current promotion that I can actually catch right now?

I don't get many 10km eggs, just loads of 5's.

Bought the box with 6 of the reduced distance incubators, and used this to completely clear all those 5's.

I wonder if we'll be waiting till Christmas for the next event or if they'll slowly drop in more gen III Pokémon as we go?

How much does it reduce them by? Eg 5km egs hatch after 3.3km or something?

They come down to 2/3rds.

So 5 = 3.3 and 10=6.7

Only issue is higest cp magicarp is 90. What cp should I be looking for before evolution?

It is more about IV than CP. Use PokeGenie to calculate IV's as that is what actually determines how strong it is likely to be.

Understand the impatience, but it's far more effective to evolve a high CP/IV than it is to grind a lower one one it's been evolved.

As has been said, use Pokegenie to evaluate candidates, you're really looking to have one with 80+% IV.

Thanks for that. Looks like I need to hold out for a little while then as not evolving over 2k going by pokemon genie.

Hopefully will bag a decent one soon.
