Well done, I was lucky in getting my Slacking during the ground event, I then hatched another Slakoth and got a ridiculous number of candies (50 or so??) so powered it up nicely!

I never caught or hatched one in that event, but I did get a load of Trapinch guys, so can't complain.

I've not done it yet, but apparently there is a big drop in IV when trading Pokemon.

My understanding is that you're not really swapping, they get a re-stat. The level that they get re-stat-ed too depends on how good a friend you are. So in about 3 months when you're best friends, it should be a lot higher IV. It also makes it cheaper from a Stardust perspective to trade then.

I have a Kangastan to swap with a local mate, who has a Milktank for me.

I'll also be looking for a Tauros, an Unknown and the rest of the Gen 2 regionals after that, but you have to be within 100m to trade, so will need to get to know some locals.

I've added a few of you, my pokestop visits tend to be bursty though as there are none near my house so it's only when I'm out and about that I'll get gifts to distribute.

They do seem quite generous though, apparently you can do 20 a day.

My boy is really upset that friends/trading isn't enabled on child accounts All his friends at school are playing it - most on level 30 plus. I guess I should have created him a proper account and lied about his age, like you have to do on most other apps.
