I've added a location column to the Wiki to help people either:
  1. Meet up in real life. (yikes)
  2. Choose who to get eggs from so they can get them form as far away as possible. (Handy if you're after the km difference trading badge.)
Feel free to not bother, if you want remain more anonymous...

I think it was released as a reward for the Dortmund Safari event.

The events are good, but often very confusing in terms of what they mean!
Corsola was released due to the tricker with signal & servers at dortmund. Articuno is the reward for getting the research tasks complete.

That's your research reward. Articuno will be appearing for 3 hours at raids on Saturday as the reward for the event at the weekend where each region of the world had to get 5 million research tasks complete in 48 hours. The Articuno has the possibility of being shiny too.

Back in Scotland, the pokestops are just not giving out the same quantity of gifts as the Spanish ones. My gift-giving is going to be less frequent, sorry!

Where abouts do you play, there is a large lanarkshire group on Facebook for raiding in Lanarkshire.

Mainly Cumbernauld and Glasgow. What’s the group called?

Wow!

...and generally, it’s a bit haphazard to keep up anyway! So apologies for only getting stuff out there, maybe, every other day!

I like to no-one anyone expects a gift back each time or everyday etc. I certainly can't spin enough to do that if I had too!

Anyone else suffered from that annoying problem where you go out for a long walk, and put your phone in your pocket to hatch an egg. Only to find that when you get back, somehow the phone has gone in to the "catch a Pokemon" view and thrown away every Pokeball you had? Went out to lunch, had 60 or more Pokeballs, got back... zero.

It's happened a couple of times before, and so far I've tried turning on battery saving mode (which is meant to turn off the screen when you tilt the phone down), and "pinned" the Android application. If I lock the phone completely, Pokemon Go will stop logging my steps right?

Get a gotcha, £20 and you can have the screen locked and well keep on counting distance, can also be set to spin stops and catch pokemon if so required,

I run mine in my pocket when walking the hound. I've found that having it screen side to the leg causes all sorts of problems, having it screen side out is (normally) not too bad.

Occasionally I have data switched off or a relative gets a pocket dial, but it's rare now.

Shame that there isn't an app for my Garmin smartwatch that could serve the same purpose (unless there is, and I've missed it)

Yes, I think that was probably my mistake today. Will remember not to do that in future smile
