Can someone summarise how this friends/gifts thing works, please? I've not paid much attention and now find myself with a challenge to distribute 10 gifts to friends.

Timely. First thing on “Jump-Start Research” is to find a new friend!

Thanks everyone for the friend invites.

I wasn't expecting such a response and am now slightly embarrassed by having more requests than gifts.

aStretchCarr and Gatecrasher6: you were first so I will keep the run going as long as possible.

Everyone else, I will send and add when I have spares.

I'm aStretchCarr, and I'm already Level 40, so not desperately in need of XP. I normally have more gifts that people, although I'm currently away from home without the dog, so my mileage has suffered.

For anyone that's reading, please open my gifts whenever you can, don't worry about reciprocating, although it's nice when people do!

Generally the special research always gives you stuff you need for the next stage...

Anyone going to Dortmund for go fest this weekend? smile

Get walking, your best bet is probably from 10km eggs. (Or trading with a pal, it doesn't have to be caught or hatched by you.)

Yes. Made that mistake before! Managed not to this time.

Generally, though, I find you don’t see something for ages..... Dratini being a case in point....only to have one appear from a 10km egg the very next day! Fingers crossed for you!

My mate Ash (seriously!) has been, his boss paid for the staff to go (4 in total) sure they’ve had a great time!

Really enjoyed the Go Fest at Dortmund this year, well organised and no network issues unlike last year. Came back with 13 shinies, most of which I didn't have before and lots of Carnivines and Unowns. The 10 hours in the park passed very quickly and it was a nice park too with lots of features.

Also took a detour to the Nurburgring on the way back, killed 2 pidgeys with one Nosepass smile

Glad it went well, where are you based? (I really want a Carnivine and Unown!)
