Overall better time but lost .3s in the last sector. Probably won't get another crack at it now.
Key for me in finding some time was to let the rear slip a little coming into Copse and Brooklands. This is what is going through my head as I am braking

Where did you come from?!
No idea! I'm never at the top of these things so I'm sure you or someone else will better the time. Good luck!rex said:
I am just downloading AC and thought I would have a look in here. See some names fro pCars time trial. What are your thoughts on the good and bad points in each game and your thought on which is the best.
AC is all about the driving and is great for time trials and hotlaps, PCars is more of a complete game and is generally more polished, it has the career mode, weather, time of day, tyre wear etc. Both are excellent driving sims.Jon_Bmw said:
I didn't realise there was specific drift cars, whoops!
Hopefully it is easier in one of them.
Rawwr - put a marker down then for us to aim for as this is obviously your speciality.
You'll be wanting to aim for six figures...Hopefully it is easier in one of them.

I did a quick run last night and the first drift before I broke the combo chain (with an annoyingly silly mistake) lasted for 15 minutes, scored >70k and 100 combos.
I'm reasonably confident about this week
I haven't managed to find a definitive explanation of the calculation of drifting points but it appears to be a combination of angle, wheel speed and absolute speed.
The more combos you can achieve (altering the direction of drift), the higher your multiplier on score.
Having the tyre monitor app open whilst drifting is a big help. As soon as the tyre wear gets into the red, you really want to start banking your score as things get really, really hard to control.

Not to be a quitter I did give it a go, but confirmed without completely reconfiguring my controller it just doesn't work due to the speed sensitive steering angle that makes a controller work for normal driving.
Basically at any given speed the maximum steering angle either way is generally a tad more than the wheel grip allows, but trying to drift it restricts your available steering angle the faster your velocity so unless you entirely control it via the the throttle it doesn't work as you need to balance the two.
I should get a wheel but I need more room....
I'll join in next weeks though
