F1 2016 is your best bet.

Project cars and Asetto Corsa on PS4 are pretty crap.
Says you maybe.
I actually find F1 2016 pretty crap and simcade at best.
The best thing about F1 is the money and the travelling the world etc, the rest is all conserving tyres and fuel and being gutted your not in the Merc.
So as a game its dull and a grind.
PCars has massive selection of racing cars and old racing cars which are so much more fun to drive in a game and in real life....
I know from other threads your a bit of a Lewis nut job so you probably like pretending to be him in that game, so fair enough. But don't go telling people other game are crap mate.

If you play F1 offline, yes, it's crap.

But I run a online league on F1 and it's much more fun.

The best racing game out on console to this date is Forza 6.

Everyone is different, you like arcady games like the f1 series and forza and others like sim racers. Each to their own

Don't get how you can insist on realism and then refuse to play with a wheel.

Each to their own I guess.

Forza 6 is sim & is hands down above anything else on console right now.

Lol, calm down maybe.

I'll think you'll find he can tell people what he wants (within reason). Personally I think Pcars is wk to play with a controller.

It's horrid on controller, same with AC.

Forza 6 and F1 2016 are fantastic on controller which is probably why I love them.

If I had a wheel, it might be different.

Well say that then, because with a wheel PCars and AC are sublime, Forza 6 with controller is very good yes, but not good with a wheel IMO.
Clearly someone playing on a controller compared to a geek like me with a wheel set up is going to have conflicting views. Which is why i gave the OP a caveat in my post about having a wheel... yet you just said "da games is crap"...

I'm enjoying it nonetheless but I can see how it would be easier with a wheel etc. I just don't have the space to have a proper wheel setup. Do you have a full frame and bucket seat type thing?

It's not necessary to have loads of room. Here's my wheel set up made from some old bits of wood in the garage, strapped to an even older ikea chair I use for gaming. Works absolutely fine, just getting in and out is a challenge :-)

I have no clue why it's posted the pic upside down .... sorry !

I'm a big fan of Project Cars, it's hilarious how attached we all get to our favourite racing games, every thread ever which starts with "which racing game?" ends up in a row.

Countdown to the first post throwing around the sim/simcade/arcade labels...mostly to elevate their favourite to sim level and calling the others simcade/arcade to make them appear worse.

1. They are all intended to be simulations, it's just some feel more natural than others.
2. Wheel is more immersive/realistic than pad, but some games are better optimised for pad.
3. Someone else's opinion of your favourite game should not in any way affect your enjoyment of it.
4. The last couple of years have produced some cracking racing games. I bought them all, because if racing games don't sell developers will stop making them and we'll just be left with fps games. And fking zombies I usually buy the less favoured ones on sale.

Above all enjoy!

Can't find anything on GT7 just rumors. Apparently GT: Sport is going to be the 7th installment (coming 2017) and the next one will be eight. In my opinion they have alot of work to do to make it anywhere near acceptable. I was lucky I played 6 at a friends for a few hours so I didn't waste my money on that dross.

laugh

The one that was meant to have been released last week, that may end up being early 2017, or Spring 2017 or simply 2017 depending on which source you check.
