So annoying, 8 can’t find a copy anywhere and don’t want the digital download. Amazon have it although a few pound more than all other shops, any suggestions?

good grief, the game is £48 on amazon!! it's sold out with GAME (where i bought it, as it came with a free aku aku keyring). the game is the no1 selling game for the 2nd week running now, so it's no suprise it's out of stock.

keep an eye on this place. they're sold out but sell for £29.85. i think when amazon was doing pre-order it was priced at £27.99

some levels are easy some of them are hard. you might find some levels you die 1-3 times, the harder ones might be 30+ times. it's a 90s game after all.

Managed to finish the First Crash Bandicoot today, what an incredibly unforgiving game this is smile

Well time to move onto number 2 and get frustrated all over again.

Tesco online have stock so ordered yesterday and just collected it. Sadly the niece and nephew are around so have stolen the PS4 from me!

Hopefully I’ll get to play it tomorrow although I’m expecting to get frustrated.

I am loving and hating this in equal measure. It is a brilliant game, but the first one for years that has actually made me throw a controller down on the floor in frustration!

Agreed. I keep dying on the easy stuff!! I have found that using the old joypad I’m doing better than with the stick.

I'll give that a go, thanks.

Some of the levels are great in terms of difficulty, I start off losing all the time but really feel the progress as I put the practice in. With some of the others, I make no progress at all regardless of how long I spend on them.

I have just finished Crash 2 today.

I have to say as somebody mentioned before that after Crash 1 it gets easier. Im just at the boss on the second level on Crash 3 and have 17 lives. I have not had more then 6 or 7 lives since I started this game.

that was me. I'm yet to play the 2nd, I'm putting it off until I do everything on 1 first.

So far I've gotten the 2 secret level keys and all gems except for slippery climb and the levels that require it's gem. Coming back to high road earlier today in order to get it's gem it didnt seem so hard. It's all about getting the gem for 'Castle Machinery because it gives access to an area that gives you about 30 lives. you can close the game and load it up again if you want to keep getting more.

The first Crash was hard enough just to finish the level, I am not going to revisit the levels for gems lol. Good look though.

I thought so too when playing it. but after a while you kind of need to trust that there's a perfect cycle that essentially allows you to near enough plow through the level without stopping/slowing down.

I had noticed about this cycle but I could never get it right. As soon as i stop it gets hard.

I suppose this cycle is down the the frames loading when you get close to the next jump/moving ledge etc which I noticed more so in the level where your mask gave you the light too see.

Managed to get 100% completion in the first game today. There were many hard parts, but Fumbling In The Dark was an absolute bd. Must have used 50+ lives on the sodding thing. hehe

Onwards to the second one!

Now available on all of the consoles, which is nice!

There’s a couple of extra levels now too, but both are fking difficult. Maybe I’ve lost my touch after having completed the three games a few months ago and not playing since, but they are really hard! hehe

I think I'll get this tonight, its £20 for the PC (Steam) version on CD Keys, cheaper than the PC or console deals on Amazon for Prime Day https://www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/crash-bandicoot-n-...

I'm 30 so I recall playing the originals during my younger days and they were great, so I bought this. No way was this game this tough before surely? hehe

I bought it, and I started downloading it, but the Steam game is a 17GB download, even on a fibre internet it takes a while, along with the other Steam game updates.

So I haven't played it yet hehe

has anyone encountered a fault where the spin mode ( X button ) does not work on an x box one

it used to work but seems to default where the x button does not work meaning you cant spin

very frustrating , turning off the machine does not seem to make any difference
