First up, well done to Drewk1 for winning the last race, but as is the nature of the beast success comes at a price and his boost has dropped by nearly 2% for this race so he'll have to work harder for this one.
xjay1337 nicks the championship lead mainly due to a non-appearance of tronneh.
Next race is Bathurst in a Mercedes-Benz AMG C-Coupe DTM, difficult course but a manageable car.
PCLapUpdater has had to have a re-jig (again...) to post telemetry data. But I'm trying a new method of installing it which should mean that it auto-updates from now on and we don't have to do this uninstall re-install stuff.
Anyway, we now have telemetry data which I think is going to be really good for helping us (me!) get better. The telemetry from your best lap only, I think my database would struggle if I held them all, is stored and can be compared against others. You can see it under the graphs section.

Haha knew about the handicap thing but didn't realise it was that severe how many seconds was he given? Should close the field not guarantee someone a win! Thought the previous times had been pretty quick!
Not really my thing, not because i'd want to win every week but its just not a competition at all.

Yeah exactly. I'm not an expert but I know the RUF very well as I'm competing in a GT3 Class league with the lads from the Track Addict IG page.
It wasn't until I figured out/remembered the Handicap thing, but I think maybe a perfect lap would be a very very high 1.22, no way to get near to that time
However, I understand it's to help out racers who don't take it so seriously as us! So I'm all for some balancing. I believe it evens out after a few further races.

The handicap/boost calc does work and does slightly favour the more consistent racers, who are normally the best. But yes it's a bit erratic until I can gather enough data, 6 races minimum before it gets accurate.
Don't forget, just click the handicap off at any point to see how you're doing in real time.
Anyway, there's loads of other normal league table stuff going on, the idea of this is it's a bit different and let's all abilities have a challenge :-)

Blimey - thought my lap was ok although far from quick, but six seconds off?!
Had a look at your data. 2 areas show where you are losing time. Minimum apex speed is lower in most corners. The big bit where you are losing time is the top of the mountain. This section is flat out from the tight uphill left hander to braking hard where the downhill section starts. You look to be lifting through this area.drewk1 said:
I was surprised with my win as I'm so far off the pace and I thought the handicap was a bit generous.
Hopefully the system will settle and even things out without such a big advantage to the crap drivers ( me )
Oh well I'm back to being crap on this circuit ha ha
It's all good, I'm glad you won, you've put in loads of laps and getting quicker so your handicap is coming down in synch with that.Hopefully the system will settle and even things out without such a big advantage to the crap drivers ( me )

I've always been rubbish over the top of the mountain no matter what game it's on! Sector one I'm not too bad and I'm able to carry decent speed through Griffins, but once I reach the Cutting, it tends to start falling apart. Although I know I'm lifting to keep it out of the wall, think the main loss of time comes from Skyline down to Forrest's Elbow as I just can't carry the speed on the downhill section.I think that, and the lower apex speed, is partly down to using a controller as whenever I use a wheel, I can react to a slide etc more naturally whereas with the controller, I seem to lose slides when I over-react.
Good racing driver excuses there...
Not bothered about winning, I always check with handicap off and if I'm within a second of the top time I'm usually happy with that (unless I think I've left time on the table). The handicap will level out, it's all good fun...we need a bit more banter though.
PapaJohns, buy Dirt but it will torture you and make you go insane, it's so hard to get it right consistently. Circuit racing doesn't have trees and cliffs so it's a bit more forgiving. In Dirt I have a good few stages, get a bit confident and bang...killing spectators flying off the road, in fact in the snow I dribbled over a wall at 10mph and fell off a cliff once. Made me feel like a right idiot, so frustrating.
