Having more people has raised quite a few issues that I didn't anticipate so I've had to change some things.

1) Password only login wasn't cutting the mustard, so changed to userid and password combo with forgotten password link.
2) Being able to select your own name in PCLapUpdater was a disaster waiting to happen so changed to a login and password.
3) Leaving PCLapUpdater running and driving a different car and track was a problem so sorted that so it only sends the lap if you're in the right car/track
4) Website became a bit of a visual data overload, so tidied it up a bit

Anyway, what I'm leading up to, is that there is another issue of checking that people are driving with Driving Assists Allowed set to Real. We don't want to be chasing an impossibly quick time because someone has ABS on for example when it's not allowed and no-one else has it on.

So here comes PCLapUpdater v1.09 which I'm afraid you'll have to download and install.

Cheers
Mark

So I'm confused on the rules.
I always use abs but no other aids.
Except in this challenge with the macca f1.

When you set aids to "real" it automatically turns on these aids in cars that i don't want, and no way to turn these off.

So what do we do?
You set the Driving Aids to real on the Project Cars options. You then only have the driving aids available that the actual car has. You can then turn the ones that are available on or off by mapping ABS, TC and Stability to buttons on your steering wheel, I use L3, L2 and R2. And R1 for headlights :-)

Right, I think Imight have had ABS on my lap, so please remove and i'll redo.
I am confused(i know...) I've get aides to Real in pCars and the app says that TC and SC should be available.
However I just get Traction Control N/A when i'm using my mapped buttons, which normally indicates those aides are not available.
So can I use TC/SC?
You shouldn't be getting Traction Control as N/A.

If you have it on real for this car, ABS is NOT available and TC and SC are. So if you try and turn on ABS it should say unavailable. The other two you can turn on and off as to whatever rocks your world. PCLapUpdater won't let you send laps with an aid turned on that isn't available for the car. So if you try and use ABS on this car, it won't send the lap.

Basically if you have the aids set to Real you can't go wrong.

You should be able to delete your own lap times under your name on the left hand side of the website

Right, I've made an upcock, with the McLaren F1 and driving aids on Real, everything should be OFF, ABS, traction and stability control, all off

We'll leave all times as is and put this down to experience. The new PCLapUpdater should sort things out for the next round.

For some reason Windows is not letting you access the downloaded files properly. Could be anti-virus software. Steve C had a similar problem and it was to do with admin rights. He created a new admin user on the pc and ran it through that account.

Well done to evans, winner of the last race. Tronneh takes the lead in the championship from xjay1337.

Next race is a bit more mainstream, RUF RGT-8 GT3 at Brands Hatch. NOTE THAT THIS IS 1 WEEK DURATION.

You might also notice that your handicap/boost may have taken a bit of a hammering. This is the calculation of discarding the worst 2 results kicking in and now that the vast majority of you have taken part in 3 races, this means it is effectively your best race of the 3 being used. It's the same for everyone and will get more and more accurate the more races we complete.

Telemetry data is coming ........

Compare how you're driving to other people, ie what the eff am I doing wrong.

Will be able to compare rpm, speed, gear, steering inputs, brake and throttle.

That would be superb for someone like me. I know what I'm doing wrong sometimes (usually going in too hot on a corner and missing apex / scrubbing speed).....but it would be good to see some of the faster guys data and compare to help learn or get some commentary / coaching based on data.
Yup, I want to see what gears the fastest guys are in, when they're braking, how hard they're accelerating etc. Watching their videos is a good help, but cold hard data should help more
