Well 10 out of 10 for effort, 0 out of 10 for talent, 114 freaking laps and still bloody useless, aaaargh

Had planned a session tonight but mind isn't on the job at hand so i'm done for this week - not sure if the handicap is done automatically but no need to change mine based on my limited laps

It's just a press of a button, which I'll do in the morning

Tried to get on last night but couldn't get the rift headset to connect. Can USB sockets overheat from pulling current. I have 6 sockets that are all used. They work for other devices when I change them around

Well, the double tweet for handicapped and non-handicapped worked, but to be honest I might as well have saved myself the bother, as they just said xjay1337 is winning everything.......

Handicaps have been updated and on to race 4 of the championship :-)

I found a windows repair tool on tweaking.com, recommended on the microsoft support forums. Left it running last night, it's supposed to reset all the folder permissions and user settings back to default. I know it's something I've cocked up because my son's pc installed updater without a hitch. If this doesn't work, it's a windows re-install. Will see how it goes tonight, then hopefully back on it.

I've been playing GT Sport Beta the last few nights, found it quite driveable, nowhere near as arcade as I was expecting. It's a lot easier to drive than PCars but i still managed to put my Ferrari 458 GT3 in the wall at the Ring...

What's drifting like on GT Sport?

I found that all the other GT cars had SNAP corrective over-oversteer so you'd always get flung into the barrier opposite.
They always felt quite numb as well and not much sensation of weight, which PC gets fairly well.

Beta is restricted to 3 race categories so no drifting yet. The racing is generally crap tbh, You just get overtaken by people who lunge into corners at you so that they go invisible/ghost then they just drive through you...handling is very simple not anywhere near as involving as PCars...

Windows repair tool didn't work, currently creating a windows10 installation media thingy to try to repair windows or re-install...

I really don't want to have to nuke my PC...

Run it on your son's pc? Old laptop knocking about? Failing that Windows reset, had to do that loads of times recently until I found out it was a hardware issue, not software

My son's PC is upstairs, mine is downstairs. I've sorted it now, just created a new user profile and it's installed fine. Just need to figure out where it installed to so I can run it from my original user profile. The new profile seems to have some weird defaults on it...

Getting a bit competitive this one, over 200 laps logged, 0.3 secs separating top 4, and xjay1337 hasn't even turned up yet.

You rang? :-)

I really don't like this track - the corners LIE !!!! with their camber and blind apexes.
Especially in a LHD car with no visibility out of the pillars you really are guessing lol.

Great time from B2B , another close one ;-)

Could probably improve but for now this'll do.

I will refer you to Session 36 xjay. Mark has managed to get the cars the wrong way round on sessions 35 and 36...that Audi would be lovely at Silverstone GP, but it's hideous at Snetterton. I really hate that chicane...

I tried the Audi combo a while back and it didn't really gel. Is it too late to swap? Beamer at Snetterton, Audi at Silverstone would be perfect...

I'm happy to swap but obviously I'll have to clear down all existing laps. Opinions?

I'll be swapping at about midday today if I haven't heard from anyone that they'll be distraught if their lap time from sessions 35/36 get deleted.

I'm up for the change, I was ahead on 35 last time i checked. The Audi at Silverstone GP will be lovely, the M3 is nicely balanced for snetterton (it's good anywhere to be honest)
