I will refer you to Session 36 xjay. Mark has managed to get the cars the wrong way round on sessions 35 and 36...that Audi would be lovely at Silverstone GP, but it's hideous at Snetterton. I really hate that chicane...
Oops!!

I'm happy to change, haven't even done any. I tend to stick at it week on week as it gives me something to do rather than smashing out 3 tracks in one afternoon lol.

OK, the majority has spoken and decided that it will be better racing if the cars were swopped for sessions 35 and 36. So any existing laps have been deleted and the cars switched.

We seem to have core of about 10 regular drivers but I'm still looking to get more people involved. So if anyone knows anyone that may be interested, on forums or god-forbid in real-life, feel free to give out the url www.willy-web.com/gt6 and there's a sign-up link that they can use or give them my email pcstoopid@hotmail.com.

Cheers

I'm sure you have already but have you posted on project cars forum and other project car / sim racing sites?
Facebook groups may be worth a shout.

i'm sure many many people would join - personally love the app and the way it's done with the telemetry.
I wish a few of the old faces from the other thread would join, some seem to have dropped off now.

Also, will you be updating the app for when project cars 2 comes out? ;-)

I'll give that NxTGen guy a prod as they run regular TT's, and still use screenshot posting to report their times.

I chucked it on a couple of forums but no takers, so I'm going for the word of mouth approach, it's hard not to look like your up to something with the whole "go to this website, download this program that antivirus will try and kill etc, etc".

We've got another 19 people who have joined but don't really take part.

As far as PC2 is concerned, the UDP stream is meant to be the same so in theory we should be able to carry on, with some sort of agreed date when we switch. I may well get superceded though as it looks like it has an inbuilt championship thingy, whether it is cross-platform I don't know and it definitely won't swear at you or have handicaps :-)

I have no issues continuing to use your site - the inbuilt championship may not be cross platform like you say but I doubt it has the level of telemetry that we can view.
I'm surprised that Slightly Mad haven't approached you to be honest. With some tweaks it could be excellent to ship with the package.

I've mentioned the site in a touring car group on Facebook - there's at least one bloke who says he'll give it a go...

Thankfully the car combos have changed. Loving the M3 now and the Audi at Silverstone is perfect. Tried Laguna Seca again. Hate that track with a passion.
Got the Rift working again. Looks like my USB's weren't up to it. Dropped in a USB 3.0 PCI card and it has been perfect ever since.
Had a go on Assetto Corsa on the Rift. It just somehow doesn't feel to have the same amount of feedback.

I've recently changed some FFB settings but it's possible they are T500RS specific

Dead zone reduction changed to 0.07 (and the setting under it should be at 0 instead of 0.01)

Other settings are ffb 90 (although 100 was recommended I found it too heavy), damper 0, tire forces 100, relative gain 1.10 with the other gain settings that follow that at 0.10 and 0.95

As with most wheels the centre spring has to be set to 0, and I don't know how you can do that on PS4...sorry!

Now when the wheel shakes in game I feel my real life wheel do the same, it's been a game changer for me. It really is worth browsing the ProjectCarsgame forum around this area where the Jack Spade Tweaker files are http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/forumdisplay.php?...

It's worth trying the PC settings on PS4 as in theory everything should be the same.

Well done guys, an extra 4 have joined, hopefully they'll take part.

I'd like to get enough players so that we can have a league system, with promotion and demotion, based on real times and then in parallel everyone comes together for the handicapped championship, that's the kind of idea that's rattling around in the back of my head anyway.....

Will struggle to get on before Friday, but will see if I can squeeze half an hour in somewhere...

I've given up on GT sport Beta, it's rubbish compared to PCars

I'll give that a bash.

I find the settings I had (taken from a forum post somewhere) pretty good, maybe a little heavy and lack of sensation sometimes of grip being lost, I drive by muscle memory rather than feedback laugh

It's funny really, all the discussion/fights about FFB and feedback and how good/bad/indifferent it is in different games. I remember reading a while back (we're talking years so maybe back in my LFS days) that the top aliens usually have FFB switched off as it just distracts them and slows their reflexes...

I couldn't do that, I'm never going to be that quick anyway, but it's all about immersion for me...I'm never going back from VR, I hope it doesn't die out and disappear due to lack of support.

VR is good, just needs the right support.

I tried VR and it gave me a headache lol.

LFS was good back in the day, 200% force, I had Muscles from sim racing lol
Shame really it's died out in terms of development.

Just seen that Fanatec have brought out their new Club Sport Wheel V2.5.

https://goo.gl/Fv4dW7

Was thinking of a direct drive wheel but there are too many issues with it working well with project cars. If I get one of these I will be saving money compared to a DD wheel

Well the game is up it seems. Popped on tonight thinking I'd get a few laps in, Oculus Home update, ok no problem...

Now the sensor won't detect that it's plugged in and the headset thinks its plugged into a usb2 port. The official Oculus support forums are full of people who have had similar issues and zero help from oculus support to resolve...I've run out of time trying to get it working tonight. That's me out until the weekend now. Annoyed doesn't begin to cover it...
