Nintendo Switch

I have to agree, playing Zelda in bed, whilst the Mrs is sleeping/playing with her phone next to me is somewhat of a luxury. I have found myself tired in work this week though!
Same here. I also sat playing it handheld at the weekend despite the dock being hooked up to our plasma ... just because I could 😆 ...I wasn't planning on getting one so near the launch but missed the Wii U and felt a bit guilty about not supporting Nintendo as a beacon of originality in the staid PS4/XB1 hegemony so stuck a pre-order in a couple of weeks ago.
Software choice a a bit limited, really can't see me paying full price for 1-2-Switch ("should've been a pack-in") so ended up with Bomberman R (haven't had a Bomberman game since the SNES) and Snipperclips which is hilarious watching the kids try to co-operate for a change.
Never the biggest Zelda fan but the hype has got me so I bit the bullet and will pick it up today. Disgraceful that the download, which I'd be perfectly happy with, isn't cheaper that the physical cart. Making a digital copy about the same price as a physcial disc I can just about stomach, but when you add the significant extra cost of the cartridge compared to a DVD it's obvious they're just taking the piss.
Same goes for the online store, no way I'm paying that much for some of those indie games when they're on PSN etc. for much less.
I'm sure the first party games will be tremendous and I'm happy with the console on that basis alone, but unless the game prices are reasonable and the subscription sensible, unfortunately I can see this going the same way as with most Nintendo consoles I've ever owned.
NES - Had about 15 games
Gameboy - Had about 5 games and a knock-off cart that had dozens on it
SNES - Had about 10 games
DS - Had about 8 games
Wii - Had about 12 games
Compare this to the PS4 where I probably have about 40 games and counting, plus a PS+ subscription giving access to many more - who gets more of my money?

Just get it on the Wii U. There are plenty of reviews out there saying it's pretty much the same. Which you'd know if you'd googled...
But ask yourself whether the mere £280 you'll be saving is worth it when you could just get the Switch and play Zelda in bed, at the end of the garden, on the loo, in the shed, in the loft, whilst your other half/kids/mother-in-law/sister/brother/dad/mother are using the TV ... honestly the joy of just taking it with you is priceless ....I've spent a few hours on Zelda now, done the 4 shrines thing, absolutely love it. I have mostly played handheld on the sofa, but I did try it on the tele and within 10 minutes, the right controller disconnected and wouldn't reconnect without being slide back into the console. I found this odd and annoying, so went back to handheld mode. Hopefully just a one off glitch although for me, handheld mode was the reason I wanted one.
I'm thoroughly enjoying Zelda. I haven't had any of the issues some people are reporting with controller connectivity or dead pixels. I hope some news games come soon though as I won't be paying £50 for Bomberman. I couldn't bring myself to buy a Wii U so I'm looking forward to MarioKart 8 when it turns up.

Charging and bought Zelda and Bomberman. Im aware that Bomberman shouldnt be a £50 game but if its anything like the other versions i will get £50 of value from it.
Same games as me. Interested to hear what you think of the controls on Bomberman - I think it's a bit unresponsive. Having only played it for 30 mins so far, i wouldnt call it unresponsive more the problem you pften get with games that should use a four way d pad but have an anologue stick instead. Im finding for example im going down for a second every now and then instead of right or left and with bomberman this will likely lead to death.
So....aside from desperately watching http://www.stockinformer.co.uk/checker-nintendo-sw... & not trusting dodgy-looking ebay sellers....anyone got any other ideas where I may find a Switch in stock in the next couple of weeks!? Or is stockinformer the best of the best?
(already on stock lists with a couple of retailers).
Meant to order one 2 weeks ago ready for a birthday coming up...but failed!
Cheers!

Lots of places are saying they will have them in for the 26th if that isnt too late, other than that looks like the odd one is coming into stores. I managed to find one today in an argos store minutes from me, a mate found one i. A smyths a few miles from him just lucky i guess.
Did look at the stock website but found mine just by accident really was available last night at argos and this morning still showing available obviously no idea how many they had.

It won't be the end of the world if we fail, but I'm trying to source it before 25th Did look at the stock website but found mine just by accident really was available last night at argos and this morning still showing available obviously no idea how many they had.
(to put this into perspective....it is for our lads 21st....I once sourced him a gameboy advance from Japan 2 months before it was in the UK....think I am losing my touch in my old age ;-)

That stock website is suggesting 23 argos stores have them in to collect, you can click to see the list. Hopefully one will be close enough for you to get to.
How do you search *all* stores?!I've searched Birmingham/Coventry/Leicester/Nottingham....all stores in those areas are out!!
Cheers!
