Apologies if posted elsewhere but just in case you've not seen it...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-52369435

Nintendo Switch owners are being encouraged to lock down their accounts after a wave of fraudulent attacks.

The hacks involve a user logging into a person's Nintendo account - and often using a linked PayPal account to make expensive purchases.

Several reports say the attacks have intensified in recent weeks, with staff at popular technology and gaming sites among those affected.

Bought my Switch a couple of weeks ago, Pokemon Let's Go and Yu-Gi-Oh were my first two games. Also just bought Ringfit too to try and help me be a bit healthier overall. I've pretty much bought it for work when I'm there but only covering emergencies so will be sitting around.

Fancied a racing game so giving grid autosport a try. Pretty good so far, hard enough to be a decent challenge but still good fun.

I'll give it a try. I've downloaded Asphalt which is fun and quite forgiving with good graphics, but gameplay is very short and the upgrades seem very complicated, it seems like you spend less on racing, more time on transition screens and being given the opportunity to buy upgrades. It is free though.

After my initial 200 hours on smash bros and getting all characters to elite iv never picked up my switch since. Going to get zelda downloaded later today since I do like all the old ones.

I’d tried asphalt and thought the same, looks great and good fun but the races are too short for my liking. Grid is much more spending time on track, learning lines and improving lap times. It’s not a full on sim but much closer than the arcadey style ones.

The AI are swines, they stick to their lines regardless if you’re in the way, does make it even more satisfying if you manage to take one of them out!

You won't regret BOTW. Worth chucking on a memory card if you download it though as it's pretty big.

Yes I have noticed that already, I've been run off at corners a few times, though bashing a few out of the way in the final bend to jump 4 places is a good tactic. Luckily at my lowly level, as I'm not sure if this comes into play later, smashing up your car (I had my passenger door hanging off and flapping around for half a race!) doesn't seem to affect your tmes too much.

It's the sort of racing game I like though - I like practicing trying to get the best lines around a course and being able to get some quality time on the track.

Bump! where is everyone smile Mine was gathering dust but I have been playing it more these last few weeks.

Bought a handful of games, SD card and also ordered the steering wheel adapters for kids to use in Mario Kart. Tempted by the Hori Rap v at some point. Mario 3D World is out 2nd December, even though a remake, I haven't played the original and looks very promising. So many more games yet to play.

It's a fantastic piece of kit, and hopefully Nintendo will continue to release handheld/dock combinations, as mobile games on a phone can't compare to a proper console.

68 Million Switch's sold, and best selling console in the USA for 23 months!

It’s been a good two years for the Nintendo Switch. According to Nintendo, the gaming tablet has been the bestselling console in the US for 23 straight months. And according to data from the NPD Group, it just had its best October ever, moving 735,926 units of both the Switch and Switch Lite in the US. The company says that represents a 136 percent increase compared to last year. To date, the Switch has sold 22.5 million units in the US, and last week Nintendo revealed that more than 68 million units have been sold globally.

Finally got my son off Minecraft (and the incredibly dreary Youtube videos) for a bit into playing Zelda, though he much prefers exploring as my character, which is practically invincible, than having to work through as a true beginner.

Can anyone explain how Fortnite works on the Switch? I'm finally caving in and getting my son the game for Christmas but having not played it before, what do you need for the Switch? I can see you can buy upgrade packs, but where do you get the original game? He's going to want to play with his mates as well.

Should be pretty straightforward, sign in to the store (or via the switch) and download it:

Make sure it's set so it needs a password to purchase anything, so your son doesn't run up a bill As Fortnight is free initally, but then its all in app I think.

Update from me: Bought the Goose game and Fifa 21 (which was slightly reduced in eshop sale).

The official Pro controller is best all round.

I bought the 8BitDO M30 Joypad, as it has the Dpad and 6 buttons needed for fighting games such as Street Fighter. Can report it is excellent to use and its Switch/Android/PC/Mac multi-platform so a bargain. And its small and wireless with a decent battery, so can be taken with you when traveling. The Hori Commander is supposed to be better, but its wired.

Really want to buy Super Smash Bros, but I have yet to complete any of the games I already have! So will wait for a sale.

Grabbed Hotline Miami 1 and 2 recently for a few $ on the US store (switch region, purchase, switch back).

Already have the game on most other platforms but well worth having on the handheld Switch, such a daft, fun game to play on the go...

What I love about the Switch though, and Nintendo's games in general , is that they're just great to switch on and unwind with.. I find that a lot of games I play on PC are more 'intense' for lack of a better word, which is fun but sometimes after being sat at my desk all day for work, can feel a bit exhausting to then sit at for another few hours to play games on.

With the Switch I either dock it and play it on the big TV in the armchair, or sit on the sofa with the dog and play Mario or Zelda handheld..
