First question; I have a nice speaker set up (and decent rig). Ideally I would like all game sound to continue through my speakers whilst just the VOIP comes through the headphones. Is this possible?

That's perfectly doable, I was using a 5.1 speaker setup (running in stereo as the game only supports stereo) and plantronic headset for steam voice but I've since switched to a decent headset for both and it's night and day. Far easier to locate shots.First question; I have a nice speaker set up (and decent rig). hmm any chance of quick 'how to'? When I plug the earphones into my PC it automatically silences my speakers and I still can't hear any VOIP.
I've turned on 'Team' in the sound settings.

I'm abroad at the moment but from memory use the windows sound control panel app to set speakers as default sound device and the headset as default communication device. Steam should inherit from Windows but you may need to go into steam settings > voice to set the comms device there as wellWhen I plug the earphones into my PC it automatically silences my speakers and I still can't hear any VOIP.

Edit: Get Nur to walk you through it

Sounds about right. Unfortunately though I only have a headset and no speakers so I may not be a particularly reliable source of guidance in these matters Edit: Get Nur to walk you through it
