What are people's thoughts on Traction Control and it's effects on lap times? I flutter between 1 & 2 however slow corner exits I really feel the TC kicking in, however can save me on the odd occasion I have a really off corner exit.

I'm using full G29 wheel pedal combo.
I'm either on 1 or 2 - the pedal is quite non -
linear and it doesn't take much movement to go from 50% to 100% throttle i find.
Only do GT3 and GT4 so they have reasonable grip tho.

I don’t understand the DR. I have my SR up to S and still my DR is D, despite always climbing places when I race? Is it due to poo qualifying?

You need to be finishing as close to the front as possible. Top 6 would be good, podiums will progress things quite quickly. Finishes in the lower half will hurt you.

So the only way you can improve a DR rating is to be up front with the idiots

Genius idea

I'm loving the Gr.4 Big Willow daily, so far had 4 1st's, 2 fastest laps and 3 poles.
One race went a bit haywire though, I went wide on the last corner and crashed into the pits.
I was heading towards the entrace so thought I might as well just pit a lap early, but it respawned me back on the track and didn't count the lap!
So for the rest of the race I was showing as last place, luckily I decided to keep going and made a few places up.
At the end it adjusted it all and put me where I should have been

WTF goes on with the Impreza. Handling is weird. Brake hard, back end comes around (regardless of brake balance), come off the brake and it lurches the other way. Can't neutralise it with brake balance or torque split. Drives like a bag of st. Wasn't like this a few weeks ago when it was used on Kyoto.

I find all the non group cars need a gentle touch, especially when releasing the brake, it almost feels like driving in slow motion.

I just won my FIA race with the standard R32 and used the standard Impreza not long ago. It's absolutely all over the shop.

1:16.8 is 10th/11th in my races with a few tenths between 7-14th-ish (Pole is a genuinely unbelievable 1:15.3 or so). As a consequence it's packed in the midfield and because it's a difficult track to overtake on the tactic seems to be to either barge by or ease people off. In both cases you're off in the wilderness until the game resets you. fking stupid. If you can't qualify in the top 5, there's no point playing. To put that track in before others like Trial Mountain is a shambles.

Some good races on Suzuka group 3 tonight (B/S), only 3 lappers which make it hard if you go off though. Had a qually time of 2.01.3 which put me mid pack, but considering the whole field has been separated by 2/3 seconds it was surprisingly clean apart from a few wallies. Highlight was finishing 3rd and the only non-RSR in the top 8 laugh

I agree Big Willow can be a bh, it’s an awesome track though. I just wish I had some
run offs, as there are literally zero chances to recover going off. The way the track is risen above the dirt is a nightmare.
I did have a lot of fun on there today though, I clocked up just under 500 miles!
Did some great races going from 1st or 2nd to making a mistake and going right back to 15th or so trying to get going again, and then working up through the field into the top 5 again

I can't stand willow springs! Find it completely dull and featureless. But then, I am not much good on suzuka either smile Think I was at 2:03 or something today on the gr3 qually.

But I only get about 20-30 mins to play. That's my excuse anyway!

I fudged it today! Qualified well in Willow springs and kept getting punted off and off into the wilderness I went (on ALL of the 5 races). I got pee’d off on the las one and quit, so my DR is now terrible!

A frustrating day indeed. I love the ‘86 though, it’s tires last a race comfortably.

Had a great day at Suzuka yesterday in the RSR.

Set an early 1’59.3 in qualifying, and won a few from pole before some faster guys turned up. Went back to qualifying between races and improved to a 1’58.7, which was good enough for 2nd on the boards at the time, and got me another few wins/poles.

Eventually, a couple of proper fast times popped up, but still picked up the odd win.

Only 1 finish outside the top 3 in 21 races, with 13 poles and 13 wins. Picked up almost 5k DR points to finish on 67.5k pts, ranked 2 in the UK and 31 in the world.

Only bummer was missing out on the concecutive clean race achievement. Got to 9, then got involved in 2 other drivers accident and lost the run. Back on a 7 run when I signed off. This one is going to be hard!

I'd assumed you need to do the long races to boost DR so don't usually do the Daily A/B.

I chose the event more for wins/poles/race count as I'm normally strong on Suzuka and I'm still chasing the Platinum trophy (only have wins/poles/races to complete, but still a long way off). DR points weren't really a priority, but were a nice bonus!

First time I've really looked at DR - I was tracking it race by race on the Kudos site. I was picking up very good points (c.500/race) when racing those with a higher DR score than me if I beat them... I beat Nissman/Pathom/Dayrone on at least one occasion each yesterday. All had higher DR than me.

Much less DR points when running pole-win against a slower field (qualifying time spread was pretty big - over 3s covered the grid in most races, and generally only the top 5 or so within 1s of pole... in a few early races I had a over 0.7 advantage over 2nd.

Might try to be 1st Brit to get to 75k (max DR points)... Jamie995 is just 2k ahead. Only 4 players at 75k in the World at the moment.

I quite enjoyed the carnage that was Mount Pleasant yesterday. Made a change from the usual tracks.
