Yeah, great price for the wheel, but since getting mine last night, I've spunked another £150 on a Playseat as I didn't have anywhere to mount the wheel and didn't like the look of the stands...The wife was surprisingly okay with it all, she must have her eye on something she wants to buy, but hasn't told me about yet

Games dropping that cheap is normally an indication of bad sales. The last COD did the same I saw somewhere a suggestion its only a temporary price reduction but I don't know if thats true.

Yeah, SWMBO doesn't appreiate that the wheel was just part 1 of the expenditure... Oh well, can always sell it if I don't get much use out of it (the wheel, not the wife)

I’m quite liking fighting the GTR and GTSR through the corners...
Grp X last night on N24 started with 8 racers and over the two laps we lost 5 of them after they bounced off literally every corner and rammed the remaining three of us off track.
The second lap was a lonely one with my friend having to coast and manage his fuel after spanking it all and I’d made a mistake on a corner which cost me 20 seconds.
The guy in first put in a blistering first lap, then attempted the second at the same pace, running out of fuel at mini carousel - id managed my fuel around the circuit and had just enough to go to 1 from the mini carousel... overtook first place on the second to last corner and ran out of fuel about a meter from the start finish - bloody great race.

Wheel was delivered earlier, wow what a difference - takes a bit of getting used to, but so much more fun to play than the controller - Beat my best time on the Nordschleife by 20 seconds with it on first attempt 
Can’t wait to get the seat on Monday as I’m using an armchair that rocks and a wobbly ironing board to mount the wheel so it’s not the best environment
