Just been screwed by the penalty system. I had 0.045s penalty remaining and it counted as a whole second? Is that how it works?

If you don't get rid of the penalty before the end of the race you get an extra penalty.

Usually rounded up to 1-10 seconds depending on how much you had left, in my experience it's usually better to get rid during the race, try to find which corners you can scrub it off without losing too much time.

This varies by track, driving around Kyoto I can lose a few seconds per lap just driving normally, but on tokyo last night I got a 10 second penalty (for someone hitting my rear...) and 3 laps later I still had 9.5!!

I'd misjudged it tbh. I had 1.6 so slowed to get rid of it and didn't get it done. The irony being I was over 1.6 clear of the car behind, I was more focused on preserving my S. This in a nations cup race where I'd gone from 15th to 6th.

I had a nightmare qualifying today. Destroyed my chances in both races.

I bought a wheel for my PS3. It rarely got used. I can't justify getting one for the ps4

Go to Decals in the Discover menu, then search Pistonheads

Sorry to whoever a nudged during qualifying earlier. I was in the Aston, amazing how much quicker every car is compared to the real life racing cars, I resorted to using the beetle only to avoid a collision on the first corner at interlagos which put me in a spin, I decided I wouldn’t catch anyone so left.

Ended up doing a daily challenge at brands and from first to 5th due to a German shoving me off and despite the fact I was getting greens constantly around the track with a very clean race my SR went down???

Spent a few hours getting a ranking and a license.

Is there a pH group to join in some hopefully non crashy races? Or do I need to add people?

... for scapes fans!

So for the past month Ive just been going through those tiles of locations to find scapes .... I even downloaded the extra ones! I've also seen scapes on the inter webs that I couldn't seem to find..

It turns out if you click "all scapes" theres a whole ton more that aren't in the location tile sections ?! over 1000 in total!

I don't have PS plus - I'm guessing without it this game is pretty restrictive...? I got on ok with AC and F1 2017 without ps plus but GTS seems to be much more about online racing

At the moment there’s hardly anything to do, learn the tracks and get gold or some challenges.

However tomorrow should change all that. But the game is very much aimed at the online racing which I find disappointing with all the imaginary cars and bad balancing. (For example I used an Aston Martin race car and got destroyed by beetles and M4’s yesterday)

I’ve lost my headset but a friend recommended the PlayStation camera, apparently that’s all he uses now (for the microphone) and hands free.

What’s it called?

I’m up for racing - havoc856-s is my PUID on PS4.

I normally go for GT3/4, the lobbies i create are normally either “Pistonheads - GT4" or "Pistonheads - GT3".

I kick around in the two liveries below mostly...

1.293gb update is live!

Edited to add this introduces 3 new cars and autumn leaves for scapes, disappointing.

Apparently update 1.07 in December will bring GT league and 12 new cars.

There’s also a message to say that 50 more cars will be added by March and plans to release more tracks soon.

You'd think they'd give us silverstone , spa, red bull ring and laguna seca as they've already been created for gt6.

It's a pity they couldn't get some sort of tie in with wec/blancpain and include spa , lemans , silverstone, sebring , zolder, monza, paul ricard , missano tracks .
