Just noticed today a fair bit of difference between the two SLS GT3s.
I've only driven the later version.
I think I've done laps of N'ring GP in 6 Gr.3s today, hopefully manage a couple more later. I found the AMG at least 0.5 sec faster than the Merc. Huracan still well off the pace. After Monza the other week, I thought the Mustang would be worth a shot but still a second off.

Fastest times sub 1:55 now. I'm still high 1:56 at best. Infuriating.

Am finally done with this game after today. Tried the two dailies.

Punted a few times in a car that should not even be in the game a stty Mazda diesel, guys goes unpunished for constantly driving over dirt, I get punted twice and lose SR both times WTF.

Then on my fave track Nurb GP, a track that in any other sim I have ever played I have always been fast on I started last and finished last in G3. |Turned up late so didnt det a time, but in the race was literally being dropped form the start, never even happened to me in any game before, almost like the pad was playing up. But no, was just big slow. On a track I love and know all the tricks to set quick times on... Weird and fishy to me.

Never got close to anyone all race, utter bullcrap as far as I am concerned. Never finished last in any race I have ever entered before now, and that is it for me.

I simply think this game suits a certain style, it certainly does not suit playing in car with a pad, I think that is probably the worst combination of everything you can use to play it. Yet it is what I have always done and feel comfy in. Just says to me that this game does not suit me at all and it is time to get shot. Cant wait for my PC to be repaied so I can play some proper sim gaming.

might be worth trying s different controller if you can, it’s quite common for R2 buttons to fail causing less than 100% throttle. Check the dash on the game that the bar is full too.

What car are you using, with what aids and what lap times are you doing? I use the pad and whereas I don't have ultimate pace, it's quick enough to be competitive.

Definitely feels more stable - on the brakes and at the exit. Not too much difference vs 458 now based on a quick blat.

I'd like to tabulate some lap times for all the Gr.3s (any BoP revision means you're back to square one) to establish a ranking for me - I think different styles lead to different pecking orders.

It could be interesting if a few of us did it, as obviously people go fastest in different cars.
Nurburgring GP wouldn’t be any good for me though, I hate the bloody thing laugh

Edit: that said, it would be interesting to compare them on different styles of track.
I’d be tempted to use Big Willow or Alsace

I'm trying that round nordschleife - no tuning, BoP on, RH tyres - It's taking bloody ages! laugh

I'm probably not good enough for a very useful compare tho - so far I have about 6-7 cars around 6:45 - 6:50, a couple 6:55 ish and I think hurucan around 7:05!! But I'm just doing 1 or 2 laps with each car so I think I'd be better off sitting down with each for a good hour or so and properly learning it. At the moment it's probably more a reflection of which is easiest to drive...

You really need s track that you can do consistently over and over and over again.
If it’s too long you’ll soon get pissed off with wasted laps from one mistake

yes

I've made a start on Nurburgring GP but there'll be a better base I'll need to think about.

Time trials, BoP, RH. For now I'm doing five laps in each car. I'm not getting near the optimums (about half a second off) so I'll need to go back but I'm not far off being consistent enough to be OK with the times which are around the 1:57 mark - not far off my best TBH. Suppose what you should do is five laps back to back and take the average but that becomes a massive undertaking.

I had a go in the Atenza gr4 today, it’s not the quickest by my god it’s got some serious amounts of grip.
It would be an excellent car to learn with no TCS, even with worn tyres I could get the back end out!

Thanks for that,i had 4 laps of Nurburgring last night and I was about 4 seconds off the pace, so it either doesn't work for me or I need to get some more practice in haha

You can turn TCS off, it makes virtually no difference if you're smooth.

I played around with the Diff Settings a bit as well and arrived at this (slightly weird) set up:

Initial: 9
Acceleration: 12
Braking: 30

Tried it back to back with the standard Diff Settings and was definitely an improvement in keeping the rear end in check.

Also played with this one:

Initial: 60
Acceleration: 60
Braking: 60

Closest this game can get to a "Spool" type.
If you can live with a bit of low speed understeer in tighter bends, it keeps things nice and stable everywhere else.

Still experimenting...................

I have it off on all cars, I was suggesting it for those who still use it
