The F1 car is a bcensoredd. Rotates more than a Catherine Wheel. Have to have the brake bias -2 to stop it spinning under braking.

Loving all iterations of the new track.
They seem to struggle with integrating the hybrid element's deployment, which as far as I know you can't control. The LMP1s are bad, the F1 car is similarly poor. Even in 4th and 5th it's unpredictable. It certainly isn't fun. I just got the races done and out of the way, wouldn't do it for pleasure.

I struggled with the F1 campaign races. The new track took me 8 restarts but that's down to me getting familiar with it. I decided to race at the Nurburgring GP circuit but kept spinning and gave up. With Suzuka, I tried three times and when I got to lap 9 (of 10) I kept messing up. Will finish it tonight so it's done and dusted.

I'll echo your words regarding it not being fun.

They've done a poor job with the W08 to be honest

Stand on the brakes and the clutch dis-engages, come off the brakes and you get a massive kick sending you round the other way

All of your braking has to be done well in advance of the corner so you can let the car settle from the aggressive weight transfer when the engine re-engages

Hopefully they fix it! Because for flat out corners with little braking the aero is mega. Although it does tend to open DRS at random times

Took me the whole evening to do that and was so glad I got in out of the way. Suzuka is much easier.

As there's no daily races anymore I've been going back over the circuit experience stuff, just to practice with the new tyres, the rally stuff has been really good.

I think the tyre update has improved the rallying a bit. I've been using rally to build up my drift points as those things are designed to go sideways smile

Some fast times been set on the new circuit Gr.3 challenge.

I've not done that many laps but I'm 8 seconds behind the fastest on my friends list. Struggling with understeer. The cars don't feel very connected to the surface at the moment.

Try putting the brake balance one or two clicks to the rear? Just helps the rear come round a bit at the end of braking.

I bought the Ford GT yesterday, it's quick. Managed to beat my previous lap time (set with the) by over a second and there's still more to go. But on my friends list there's one guy who has over 5 seconds on me, down in 3:27's I think. Some of the bumps are quite tricky

Well after Polyphony Digital promising that they would never put micro transactions in PS Sport, they have officially back tracked that with their latest update....

I get my opt. down to 3:28 but I can't see where the rest of the time to get to a 3:24 is.

Probably abusing track limits. I'm chipping away at my time but still 3:31. moved to 458, bit skittish but quick

1:30.XXX on Interlagos is going some. My best ever is a high 1:31 IIRC. I just find the Ford GT slides everywhere - can't "feel" the grip on the DS4. Need more practice.

Installed the 1.24 update and can report the Merc F1 car drives much, much better. Still not sure I'd use it in any of the daily, sorry weekly races when they appear.

Disappointed with changing from daily races to weekly. With dailies I could wait a day if there was a race I didn't fancy a new one would be available the next day, going to have to grind on the campaign races now.

Yep, they definitely fixed the braking issue

Career mode challenges are disappointingly easy for the F1 category. The AI drives round at half throttle and doesn't seem to understand aero. Shame, but an easy 250K
