I'm missing something with the GT86. Watching the fastest lap replays the speed of the gearchange is much much faster than mine. I've tried various different things to see if the speed varies but to no avail. I did one race, you don't need to pit, and the difference between me and the winner was straightline speed due to gearchanges. And random French folk punting people off.
If it’s the road version they will be using full manual. It gives faster changes.

So not something you can replicate without a wheel and shifter? Cheers, Polyphony.

And cars being lapped are ghosted now? Weird.

No. Paddle shift is slower on road cars that have a manual ‘box.

But it’s a PITA to race with as very difficult not to miss changes due to how the clutch is implemented on GT.

It's worth about a second a lap around Tsukuba. No point racing.

Just bought myself the 996 GT3. Looking forward to giving it a bash around the 'ring. Seems to be plagued with the above problem tho, gearshift seems to take an age. Need to put my shifter back together, see if that helps (even tho the clutch is messed up)

Apparently the go to set up is manual shifter and clutch start..shame really, still there's always someone to race on the same setup, I noticed some people using the clutch for the grid start in the group cars.
Not sure a manual shifter would be much of an advantage for me in the Porsche, I definitely need both hands on the wheel smile

Booted up GTS fit the 1st time since July today. Tried the 996GT3, and it’s pretty nice. No issues with gear change speed.

Where would I find out what cars are in the one make series in Race A? I'm not indoors to check and the companion app doesn't state it.

Can't find anything on GT Planet either.

Cheers. For some reason the app stated a one make race in race A so obviously a problem there.

I like Gr4 so will race that although not sure about the others.

A and B for me then, even tho it's probably the ring rather than nords, which I really struggle at - just can't get the first sector right.

I don't know how many of you watch Tidgney on YouTube but last night he signed into his first PSN account and has started streaming his journey from 0 - 75K points. Was great fun to watch him start this and I'm now thinking of maybe making a new account and starting afresh.....maybe!

I watched a bit of that, the Gr2 race was brilliant! Had to laugh at his "sod off, stop hitting me" moment.

smile Yeah, he really does take it in his stride and I've only ever seen him P'd off a couple of times. I ended up crashing (pun not intended) at 11pm when he was still streaming so hoping to catch up when I'm indoors.

I love watching Tidgney, Kie, SuperGT and Eerieisss videos very much, amongst others.

Saw one of the dailies was 997GT3 @ Nurb on here, so thought I'd give GTS another go... but the 997 is nothing like the 996... it's an understeering mess... just won't rotate, on the brakes or off throttle. Another car ruined by PD's rubbish standard settings frown

Yeah, the standard settings are a mess aren't they. I won't be doing that race but I did the recent Integrale race and couldn't believe how long first and second gears were yet the rest were inaccurately close.

I've purchased both of the new Porsches so will just get my mileage points up.

Currently doing the recently added Campaign races.

I was struggling with it to the point of giving up. Doesn't feel as if it's in contact with the ground. No traction, terrible braking and there's zero front end grip for cornering. It's weird. Suspect it will be changed in an upcoming update. I used the 996 the other day and it at least felt more real.

The surface at Fuji also appears to be made of polished hardwood. Not a great choice of combos this week.

I haven't driven the 996 stock, but the only change I made was changing rear toe from 0.6 to 0.2. It drove pretty nicely like that.

The 997 feels like it's got 1.00 positive rear toe and 60 LSD decel... it's a sledge.

If you cruise round in 9 minutes or so it feels ok smile

I've had a bit of a Fuji day...did the Cayman GT4 career race on PC2, and then tried to do a lap on GTS in the Gr2, I was so far off the pace in Gr2 it was ridiculous..

I miss the slow car dailies, had some great races in those.
