Last night I did both Fuji races and actually enjoyed them despite getting a bit of an SR drop and a penalty which wasn't warranted. Was good fun I must admit. I love the Gr2 cars but only have the Nissan GTR. What are the other Gr2 cars like compared to the GTR?

IIRC (been a few months since I drove any of them)...

NSX has best handling... much less understeer than the other 2, but a bit spiky on corner exits and slowest in a straight line. The Lexus is the fastest in a straight line, but has plenty of understeer. Can't remember what the GT-R is like as I drove it once and didn't like it.

The NSX and GTR appear to be closely matched overall on times (I'm within about 0.1), NSX feels more agile. These cars seem to be all about throttle modulation for traction and TCS any higher than 1 really kills their pace. I can't get it right with the DS4 - the travel of the button is not proportionate to the throttle.

Factoring tyre wear, I can imagine the NSX being a handful on worn tyres.

The GTR seems to be the car of choice for Race C. As a D-pad user i need to run TC at level 2 but if you get the steering straight as early as possible after hitting the apex it doesnt cut in too much.

I did hear the NSX can be a handful and may purchase that and the Lexus to compare with the GTR.

I use a wheel so always have TCS off. I may invest in a Thrustmaster T-GT but it isn't cheap.

Saw one of the dailies was 997GT3 @ Nurb on here, so thought I'd give GTS another go... but the 997 is nothing like the 996... it's an understeering mess... just won't rotate, on the brakes or off throttle. Another car ruined by PD's rubbish standard settings frown
I was struggling with it to the point of giving up. Doesn't feel as if it's in contact with the ground. No traction, terrible braking and there's zero front end grip for cornering. It's weird.
For me i found it quite unforgiving if you get your speed wrong into a corner - it will just push wide if you are even a touch too fast.
But once I learned my braking points I managed a 7:43 on the qually time trial which I was quite pleased with especially as I started off with a 7:54. Potentially a sub 7:40 if I nail it but given i only finish between 1 in 5 and 1 in 10 laps that i start, probably not gonna happen...

I've had the GT franchise since GT3 as I never has a PS1 and have never been a fan of Suzuka and Fuji Speedway but on my word how my mind has been changed.

Absolutely love them now especially Fuji after last weeks A & C races. Epic in the Gr2 cars. Apparently we'll be getting the Subaru Impreza 22B in the next update as well as the Pagani Zonda (possibly). Not too fussed about the Pagani as I prefer the slower, more fun cars. Saying that, PD have never had a Ferrari F50 and would love to see their iteration of it.

Hmmm. I'd love a real life track that has never appeared in GT such as Imola, Sugo, Donington and the like.

My Opt is a mid 2:19. I was on it but fluffed the last corner and glanced the wall on the exit on to the home straight.

Give it a try...the new St Croix track is worth a look, Fuji's not bad, you'll probably notice the physics changes as well.

I actually did a ton of laps on Miyabi last night. It's a very easy track to just bang laps in on. As ever, it's hugely difficult to get the perfect lap. I must have done 50 laps and come away knowing there's a chunk of time still to get.

Not even going to attempt the Gr.X event. I know my limits.

Picked up my first win on Miyabi last night in the Renault RS01, so happy with that.

Woke up this morning and I now see the playing field has moved on by a second from my quickest time to 1.32/33 in a Beetle. Wondering whether to try and slug it out in the RS01 this evening as I have more than 5k miles on this car so know it very well, or more over to the Beetle to stand a chance...
