Gran Turismo Sport PS4
Discussion
It'll be on the PS4 settings. I gave up on the FF Megane and switched to the Audi for Seaside, looks like it's going to be the Ford for Panarama. It's a shame about race A this week It's not easy avoiding contact in that car at that track. There's a new season starting on the PC2 stoopidchallenges this wednesday, if anyone fancies a change of pace

Fg Mini at Suzuka East again? Someone needs to be more imaginative.
Similarly disappointed.
Shame also BoP has tilted towards the FFs again. Huracan, M4, Atenza etc used to be a good close match. Appears it's TT or lose now. I cannot get the front end to respond in the way the quick guys can. I'm losing >0.6 secs in S1 alone at the moment.
Bathurst can be great if you get people patient enough not to make crazy moves on the mountain.
I haven't recovered the time I lost with the new update. I think that's only the 2nd time that has happened. Watching the Asia Regionals it was amazing to see a couple of guys using the DualShock, one of them even using the tilt function. Shame the telemetry was up to show "pedal" positions, steering angle would be great, too.
I don't think there's a disadvantage using the controller, there's plenty of world record times on PC2 that have been set with a controller, when I compare my telemetry to the controller guys, they brake harder and accelerate harder than I can, I'll admit it's marginal but when you're talking .2 over a 1.30 lap it can make a difference, I'm using a G29 with the standard pedals, I imagine high end load cell pedals would make things about equal.
@ferry I didn't realise they could use the DS4 in Tour events, I vaguely remember something about one of the British guys having to use a wheel for the German event, you'd think Sony would encourage DS4 users

Yep. One of the Brits had to use a wheel and was off the pace as a consequence. Might have been McLaren6? Can't remember for sure.ferrisbueller said:

Steering is much less accurate. Depending on speed you seem to get a different amount of steering for the same amount of stick travel. There is also no "feel". In terms of throttle and brake, getting a smooth throttle input is very difficult on the controller. It's non-linear and it's not proportional, either!Less accurate but much quicker steering.
Sometimes ill watch one of the top 10 qually replays and the steering dot is flicking from lock to lock in a fraction of a second. I'd break my wheel if I tried that.
not sure if either is really quicker for ultimate lap time, it's probably more just what you're used to

I think my ID is Armitage Shanks lol!
Nope.Punch it into here to confirm it https://www.kudosprime.com/gts/stats.php?profile=s...
I've just had an eye-opening couple of hrs, having been mercilessly punted at seaside, I decided to do some circuit experience with a DS4, I've had this game nearly a year it's the first racing game I've played, and apart from the first two weeks I've always used a wheel, so Miyabi I'm .5 off my record, Yamigawa I set a new sector time by .2 but can't match my lap time, Big Willow, I beat all my sector times and take .5 off my lap time! I'm not talking leaderboard times here but there not bad...Nurburg GP I take .3 off the first sector and .1 off the second, the main time gain seems to come at turn in, no understeer, really quick turn in, let it settle then as much throttle as it'll take, main disadvantage seems to be braking and consistency, I'm using CSA and TC 1 and I'm using the sticks, I'm going to give the buttons a try..I'm amazed!

My optimum set up would be a mixture of both. I've a brand new T150 RS Pro sat here unopened (probably sell at Christmas) because fannying on with wheel etc would lead me to having a permanent set-up at which point I'll probably go PC Sim.skinny said:

Can't replicate that using the stick. I'm going to try the motion control.ETA. Yup, you can do that using motion control.

Can't do sod all anyway, today is the day the entire PSN is updating all the games you have, most pathetic piece of software updating I have ever seen, download, uninstall, copy, install, uncopy.
I thought we were in 2018, not 1982, garbage.

I do not play online, have no PSN access as I refuse to pay for something that should be free. Sorry.

ETA. Some things really don't stack up here. The PSN ID you gave was online yesterday, using a car that was only available since the last update.
The DR and SR graphs for that profile:
