Randomly I stumbled upon your channel just the other day, not really one for watching gaming channels but was just looking for videos on whatever combo I was driving to see where I was losing time, ended up watching one of yours and enjoyed it, subscribed and watched a fair few of your videos so far, already picked up a fair few tips for a beginner like me, thanks
Well its been a week or so now since i got back into the world of GT online.
Manged to put in what i thought i was a respectable qualifying time for last weeks races on Dragon trail seaside II on the Gr3 cars (1.42 something) after some fine tuning to my Aston.
Managed to finish most races with at least a finish 3 or 4 positions higher than my starting point on the grid.
slowly but surely getting better with this weeks races at the Red Bull ring on Gr4's. Just got to set up a car properly and see how i get on. still miles of the pace of the top setters who are managing 1.31's in qualifying though.

31's? The top were on 35's last night. They were going really wide on T1 and burning off the penalty on the way around. What settings can you adjust now? I didnt look.

I was going to do a practice lobby for the Hot Hatch Challenge..thinking 8ish tonight, no racing, just 30mins at each track, I just wanted to make sure it's ok with you before I put it on GTP.What settings can you adjust now? I didnt look.

No probs.. Im fine with that. I will try and join but Im not sure I can get on that early tonight.I got a 1:37.3 and was very pleased with that. Gave me 2nd or 3rd place starts last night. It might be a bit lower tonight.

What's the Hot Hatch challenge?
I thought I would try and inject some life back into GT Sport on PH by organising a test event to see if people like the idea. I was put off initially by the thought of tuning, but I just changed the G/box and diff to custom, lowered the top speed, stiffened the suspension and roll bars and toed out a couple of clicks..I've no idea if its any good! Which is why I want to do a practice lobby hopefully I won't be miles off.

Historically I'd have been an advocate of allowing individual set-ups but knowing how long it took, and how many cars there are, I'd suggest fixing everything and letting BoP take care of things. Perhaps allow gearing changes if there's something hopping off the limiter.
When you up the power to much BOP totally kills FF cars by adding too much weight. They become horrid to drive. For anyone thinking of taking part in the Hot Hatch Challenge and worrying that they won't be competitive..I tested 3 cars, the Mini, Clio and DS3, they were all within 3/10ths at Maggiorre on pretty much the same settings and I was getting Low 50s laps, they were within .6 at RBR and I was getting mid 1:42s..the other guys that have tested are getting similar lap times. I'm happy to share my settings if anyone wants to try them.
