Doesn't sound good! Not played for about a week as the races that came around didn't interest me. Will be keeping an eye on this thread to see what changes.

I've done half a dozen race B's today, just to see if I can get to the 15 clean race bonus, it's been a mixed bag! Epic dive bombs followed by revenge punts seem to be popular, and no sign of any penalties, in fairness I've had a couple of good races, not bothering with FIA though smile

It's a great time to raise your SR and collect some CRBs smile

I did my first (manufacturers) FIA in about 6 months as I had some time to kill, I did pretty well finishing 6th and then I was hit with a 20 sec penalty at the end for not changing tyres! arrggghhhh I had no idea this was a thing now!

smile It's not in every FIA, you get a message, bottom right of the screen telling you the tyre requirement, it seemed a bit pointless at St Croix, a lot of people just did one lap on hards.

It's a great time to get punted off the course by an ar*ehole every race, and lose a shed load of DR in the process, only to watch them cruise on without penalty and finish in the points.

The only safe way to avoid it now is to qualify in PP, then have a little luck on your side into the first couple of corners in the hope no-one over-runs and wipes you out.

What kind of morons do they employ to come up with these ideas?

I think I'll stop playing now until they fix it. Managed to get my SR up to S last night, but playing any further once you've maxed out SR is just putting unnecessary risk on DR.

Unfortunately it looks like a lot of the clean racers are giving up too until it gets fixed - or they too are getting their elbows out, as it descends into vigilante justice. I haven't raced at all this week after getting close to DR A on the nurburgring last week.
Hopefully this is not PD just giving up on GTS... bearing in mind the next game is already in development

Yeah...daily races are a bit hit and miss (groan) when it comes to clean driving, they always get worse as the week goes on, if you want to try something different have a look here https://gbrcracing.com/ there's people from alien to raw beginner and everyone is welcome.

I only played one race last week and that was Race B aroung Lago Maggiore in Gr3. It was a bit dicey and tried to stay out of trouble which I did but since then I've not touched it...and won't until they sort out the penalty system.

Had some great races, couldn’t be bothered with my DR. Rubbin is racing, remember its only a game and not real life

Thing is, I've always considered myself a clean racer and when I watch GT Sport streams/vids, I just want to race cleanly. On my primary account, it took me 144 days to get to A rated DR but got smacked down to mid B rating due to the analytics of the game (silly penalties etc).

On my secondary account, I got to A rated DR on my 20th day. I'm not the best but sometimes I back off as I know how aggressive others can be, meaning that I may lose a position or two.

Spa in the wet is awesome this week even with the dodgy penalty system. Get some practice in and give it a go, 2.39XX put me near the front in D/S C/S lobbies.

Spa is tricky!
I somehow got a good qually in at 1:36.6 but I'm more like 38-39 in the races and get swallowed up about half way through the race, and as soon as I'm fighting i get knocked off or crash in battle and drop like a stone down the order, especially when my tyres start to get worn

I only did two races last week and was last in both of them...Spa in the wet. My mind wasn't really in the zone due to health concerns but at least I maintained my A rated DR on my secondary account.

If anyone wants to add me, my details are as follows:

Primary Account: pvig73
Secondary Account: R4M_Mike_Oxard

I see a lot of people talking about 2nd accounts for GTS - how does that work, you can set up a new profile on PSN? Do you lose all your cars and credits on the new account?

Basically you start afresh. You need a different email address and make a new name and PSN ID. Can’t remember it all as my nephew helped me. For some reason I’m playing better on my second account but can’t explain why.

What driver level/rating have people reached using the standard PS4 controller (as opposed to a wheel)?
I’ve been playing 2 weeks and reached level B, which I think is pretty reasonable. Anyone got to level A or higher on a pad?

I'm DR S SR S (though currently A+ as I don't do the FIA events, which you need to in order to be DR S)

There are people at the World Tour events who qualify on a pad (but are then made to compete on a wheel at the event). Dodge Lamb being one example.
