It’s been a while since I did the single player stuff, I don’t think that does have tyre wear or damage. The online stuff does if the lobby owner turns it on.

Each week there are 3 daily races, the 3rd always had tire wear. The FIA races have tyre wear and damage on.

If you go Arcade..custom race...you can add tyre wear, fuel use, damage etc.

Had a great clean race in the pack in Race B yesterday.

PD are doing me a favour with the recent dailies. Race C last week gave me a chance to get my main account back up to A/S after plummeting down to B/B due to a rage quit at the Monza manufacturers race. I've had some great fun with Gr4 at the 24h circuit on my alt account (no quali), I think my best has been 16th to 3rd using the M4 in a B/S lobby.

I've got a G29 and a playseat evolution arriving sometime this week. I'm excited for the transition from pad to wheel

I was lucky enough to get a g29 wheel and pedal set for Christmas which I'm really enjoying playing gt sport with compared to my old old gt force pro wheel. I'm still D rated as I dont play for enough hours and 1 bad race knocks so many dr points off. SR rating bounces between S and a/b.

Race B on the dailies this week is good and I quali'ed 2nd, took 1st on the first bend and the stretched lead to 6 secs for a win, fastest lap and clean race bonus.. and just won the 8pm manufacturers race tonight. Ghastly route-x event with most people running the Supra. I had to go pop ups with the f40, quali 4th place, and ran 2nd for most of the race bump drafting the leader. Dropped to 8th place in some carnage on penultimate bend, but times the slipstream well to go into last bend 3rd and came out 1st, winning by 0.014!

I've been Armchairracing this week , first time in a while , I've heard all horror stories about the penalty system ..But , in all honesty I found it ok and the races good and clean ( race B ) ..you get the odd knock , but nothing malicious ..Great fun ..

Unless they've changed the rating system the most DR you can win/lose in a race is 1200.

Bueller,
I think it might be more than 1200.. maybe about 1500. I'm on 3,899 now so 101 away from moving up to DR C. I'd like to get there before the next manufacturers round on 2nd Jan.

I'm also think about 'upgrading' to Assetto Corsa but do enjoy the GT-S still and find the dailies very accessible..

You get more in the DR change moves you between rankings IIRC. Other than that, it's usually 1200 (about the same for a Disconnection or rage quit). And that's for dead last in a race the DR weightings say you should win.

Just checked some numbers to see what that boost is and going from E to D I got 2000 DR for one race, D to C about 2400, C to B about 2600, B to A 1600. Dropping a DR band was - 2500 ish. It holds you at DR E until you've completed 5 races.

-17000 for one particularly ugly race on Spa.

My last one was at the recent Super Formula at Bathurst race. Plenty of people trying to send it up the inside whilst I'm fuel saving

I gave up a while ago. The penalty system evolved to a point you couldn't race, so I created an alt account and just raced from the back trying to get clean racing bonuses, which was equally frustrating, but I did get it to DR A SR S

It's a real shame as there's a good game in there somewhere. I also wish they'd added more tracks rather than cars you never use (not least because of the daily combos).

Waiting for GT7 now.

I think following would be nice:

more driving modes
Drag racing
Indy / oval

get rid of the 100hp hatchbacks and the VGT nonsense

Bring back the parts and body modifications. Was satisfying building and tuning cars gradually adding cheap things like a a flywheel first, and ending up with a 400hp Civic with a huge wing.

I'm still at beginner level. Seems that I can get punted off and still be at fault.

Very frustrating.

Welcome to GT Sport laugh

Why they can’t roll the penalty system back to how it was 18 months ago I don’t know. I treat every daily race as a race of attrition now. There’s no point outbraking someone in to a corner when they’ll turn-in on you and you get slapped with a 1/2/5,000 second penalty

Rumours that GT7 delayed to December 21.
