Yep - although doesn't the Specialist have an assault rifle option?
Does it? I might have to look into that, although it is a very squishy class, not ideally suited to run and gun!!

Yep! That annoys me to the Nth degree as well!! I see it as a challenge, but of course sometimes the other side just overwhelm you. Hopefully I don't come up against them or they're on my side!! wink
First time I've seen it. To start with, I thought I'd see how many of them I could kill before dying but, after a while, and still with 20 odd tickets left (as there was only 3 of us for them to kill), I had had enough!!

Very happy there isn't K/D in this game as mine would have taken a battering this morning hehe

Yep, my K/D goes a bit awry at times....

I've completed 2 of the 3 challenges, but of course not sure how far I've progressed in the 50 kills in each class one - so you're sort of left wondering - I mean I know I'm "down" on Officer and Specialist kills but not by how many.. I guess that's a ploy to get you to keep on playing, but it then feels a bit like the diorama (SWBF) where you had almost completed some of the challenges, but who knows which last little bit you needed to do to complete it! I breakdown of the challenge totals would be appreciated, but I guess it may well break something else... wink

Enjoying trying out the other classes, as I mostly stuck to Assault and Heavy... I've got the Officer Shield which helps at certain times in certain levels.. but of course sometimes you're sitting there at the start of a match wondering which map you are going to.... Which is another gripe! As mentioned before once you're in a match it's all good - well mostly!

I managed to out-sniper a couple of people using the Specialist, but also took a few shots as well.. That was on the middle 'stage' of the Geonosis map as a droid.

Fortunately, I hadn't touched either the Officer or Specialist classes before the challenge so I can track my kills via the career challenges. Officer is now done and I've unlocked the S-5 rather than the starting peashooter pistol!! It seems to have some kick though so, unlocking the recoil mod will be a slog!! Sometimes I do well as Officer but, mostly I feel underpowered and undergunned compared to everyone else!

I tried another match as specialist and managed 3 kills (actually, it was half a match on Starkiller base as I switched to heavy when we went indoors. So, 5 kills overall! I'm going to force myself to play at least one match a day as specialist but, I don't think I'm going to enjoy it! The Last Jedi challenge says I've got 154 kills total so, either assault or heavy are missing a kill - don't think that'll be a problem though!

I've almost unlocked the TL-50 for Heavy but, not really focused on that at the moment.

I'm sitting on about 900 crafting parts as I just cannot decide what to do with them! I'd like the purple grenade for assault but, need to get up to star card level 25 to upgrade (currently 21). The Officer could also use a little love but, I'm not sure what the best cards are yet. Improved flash grenade seems like a good shout and, I'm tempted to try out the turrets but, the shield is just so good on the objective!! Decisions, decisions!

What other cards do you generally use? I've got a blue bodyguard on both assault and heavy - it has saved my life countless times so, can't bring myself to swap it for anything else. I also the faster health regen card which helps me to re-engage when enemies will assume I'm still weak.....usually, I lose the gunfights anyway but, that isn't the starcards fault hehe Other than that, I have a purple heavy shield and of course the improved thermal detonator for assault.

I have yet to craft a single starfighter or hero card, I just use whatever I get in crates.

I am a big fan of SWBF1 but have been disappointed by SWBF2 so far; I find the gameplay (GA) much more repetitive and prescriptive.

It’s a real shame, but I’m just not inspired to play (not that that’s any great loss to the gaming community rofl )

Galactic Assault feels very uncoordinated, bit of a free for all.

I started playing Strike yesterday and it feels very different. The specialisations come into their own in this game mode even when your team of 8 are loosely playing the objective. I have yet to play with a squad using ‘Chat’ but it must work well when played with a coordinated effort!

If anyone fancies squadding up on PS4 my PSN ID is Matt-Don. I can’t always use a mic though.

Pretty sure you're already on my friends list. Happy to squad up any time I'm online.

I apologise is advance for my lacklustre performance hehe

I quite like the shield that the Officer has - it can change the way a GA match goes... Although then no Turret.

I'm around 120 out of 200 kills - most of those must be Officer and Specialist.

I had a great kill run using Specialist - on the Temple and Endor levels smile I quite like the 'dark mode' which gives you a better radar and assault rifle.

The matches seem to be quite varied for me on XB1. The only main frustration is if the other team are playing as a team - you can quickly and easily get wiped out if your team is running around like headless chickens. Of course it's good if it's the other way round smile but the balance can be a little off now and again.

Enjoying it so far apart from the space battles. Anyone else finding the controls akin to driving a MkIV Golf GTi?

Anyone know when the Last Jedi DLC is due? Word is it could spoil the plot of the film, not sure how!

I disabled roll and turned advance flight off. Turned the turn sensitivity up to 55% and dead zone down to about 15%. It isn't perfect and there is room for improvement but, its way better than the default.

Despite my intention to play a game as specialist every day, I just can't bring myself to do it. I just don't have any fun and, considering the 'reward' is only 2 x green cards, it just doesn't seem worth bothering with. I did read something on reddit about just playing blast and using infiltration with the shield with the brawler card so, I may give that a go.

For some reason, I just couldn't get it together yesterday afternoon and had a succession of very bad games. Lag probably didn't help - Kashyyyk was practically unplayable at one point.

I may give up on the Officer class once I've got the blurgg and recoil perks, I just don't think my aim is good /quick enough for pistols. The evening was better playing as Heavy and even had a successful killstreak with Kylo (well, it was about 6 or 7 kills which, for me with any hero, is a huge success!! hehe )

Still very much enjoying Starfighter assault, I generally seem to do better there than on the ground!

ikwym! Although when the Specialist works it works really well smile I quite like leaving trip mines every now and again and the assault rifle with the added benefit of radar hiding, together with showing foes up is welcome! But yes, quite often it's very frustrating being shot far too easily. Having a good sniping session against a foe is good though! Although if I lose I tend to blame it on them having a better weapon than me, it's not my aim, etc... wink

130 out of 200 on the Faction Challenge. I've no idea how many per class.. Although Officer and Specialist are definitely still lacking.

I'm at 154. I've done assault, heavy & officer so, only 46 specialist kills to go and a month to get it done!

Incidentally, what on earth was 'blast Sunday' all about? I played blast on Sunday and got no additional credits and there were no challenges specific to blast?! Did I miss something or did they really try to encourage people to play a different game mode by just sort of 'suggesting' that they play it?! I assumed it would be double credits.

Are you First Order? There seem to have been quite a few issues for those who have chosen First Order. Challenges not appearing or not counting properly.

Yes, First Order. I had a challenge the other day, which was to complete a specific arcade challenge but, other than that all I seem to have showing is the 50 kills with each class challenge.

This morning at reset, I randomly received 4 loot crates, one for each class but, the names were strange, like they were lifted directly from the code with underscores and whatnot. They were all 'starter' crates - anyone else get these today?

I've been playing around with my settings again as I think when I was tinkering to make starfighter assault easier, I broke my trooper controls as it seems to be since then that I've had a run of terrible, terrible games! I put the deadzone back up a bit and had some vaguely bearable games and one good game as officer. I still feel that the sensitivity or something is off, I have yet to find that 'sweet spot' (or perhaps my aim is just inherently st!)

44 kills to go to unlock the blurggg - I hope it's worth it! Apparently, it is more user friendly (ie. easier to use) than the S-5

I've not tried starfighter assault this morning's tinkering....I hope I haven't broken that now as well!! hehe

Recoil mod makes a big difference on the S-5 but, still not easy to use. It is more of a mid to long range weapon (I have out-sniped snipers with it!). It doesn't win many CQC engagements though, not unless you get a lucky headshot!

I've already played as Finn. Haven't had the chance to play as Phasma.

143 / 200 on the monthly challenge...
