The XP bug where it awards you loads has been fixed 
Played a bit last night, had some army credits so bought some of the Volkssturmgeweh collection, mainly the expensive stuff so was a few hundred short of the odd calling card to complete them. Not to worry though as I'll get that over the weekend.
Got nothing decent in my resistance supply drop apart from a natty little outfit and a fancy new shovel, for shovelling purposes Almost gold on the shovel now. Just need a backfire medal and hey presto one gold shovel.

Have to say the Prop Hunt is the funniest thing I've seen for ages, watching 3 guys chasing a phone box in London Docks is hilarious. It's a very different game mode which takes a bit of learning before you figure out the best tactics. Just beware you get 2 chances to swap your item but you cant go back, where the hell they expect you to hide a tractor I have no idea!!

I've seen some pretty amazing hiding going on. You know it's impressive when you die, so you can cycle through and see your teammates and still can't find them. One chap was a drainpipe on Flak Tower and i was staring at the screen, knowing full well he must be in the middle of it, and still couldn't work it out. Needless to say, I've shot a lot of drainpipes since...
I completed the 'kill 10 props' order yesterday including what was probably the easiest kill possible. Playing Ardennes Forest, i'd ended up as a chair and couldn't think where to hide. In the end I tucked myself into a space to the left hand side of the bridge. It's full of twigs which i thought would obscure the chair a smidge. As it was i almost survived the round. So in the next round i thought surely no one is stoopid enough to just copy what i'd done. Lo and behold, someone had done exactly what i'd done so I picked up a first blood about 3 seconds into the round. You've got to wonder.
Only dross out of the resistance supply drops so far. On the upside I've dropped two sets of epic pajamas over the last couple of days both of which turned out to be the top item in a collection. So for about 400 armory credits to complete them, I've got an epic M1903 and Waffe28.
If you haven't gone to the emblem desk in the headquarters you should. Some of the designs are seriously impressive.

I'd heard the new sub wasn't up to much so unlocked the new rifle first, the Volkswagen or whatever it's called. That's possibly the best rifle in the game. The only downside is a slow ADS time, but with quickdraw it's alright. Other than that it has a high fire rate and is very accurate.
I was amazed to get my first Brutal streak (25 kills) yesterday. Up until then my longest streak had been 16. I find the small maps and fast pace make streak building very difficult. The Brutal was in free-for-all, which i was only playing to complete an order. Clearly the lag was hugely in my favour and having paratroopers as a streak added a few free kills. I doubt i'll ever get another streak that long.
Closing in on the diamond sniper camo. Just two more 5 kill streaks with the Karabin and the grind will be over

Loving the new maps, finally far more tactical then all the others.
Anthropoid is without a doubt my favourite, so many routes also can use every style of play, spray and pray, sniping, tactical advance.
Valkyrie is another great mix of routes and play styles, less sniping though.
Occupation is a really nice looking rehash of an absolute classic CoD map (resistance from MW3), always was one of my favourites on that game.

Karabin is just plain crap IMHO. Hard as hell to get one shot one kill medals with it. Seems to fire marshmallows or something.
Looking forward to the new DLC but as an xbox owner I have weeks to wait for it.
Got the sten gun finally, not impressed so will be sticking either the type 100 or ppfsh.

Nope, no V2. At the time I assumed you need 30 kills for it, but I've just looked online and I believe the issue was you need 25 gun kills. I had both glide bomb and paratroopers for streaks. I can't remember if the glide bomb killed anyone but the 'troopers certainly would have and the streak ended at 25. The only other reason that comes to mind is where you needed to prestige all divisions to unlock the V2 in the first place, whether you now need to prestige the Resistance division too, which I've only just done.Only ever had 1 brutal in this game and that was on Operation Neptune using the mg nests. Yep, the Karabin sucks. Getting the 100 one hit kills wasn't much fun as it's near as dammit headshots only. Killing people who've taken damage from someone else doesn't count if you kill them with one shot, even if that one shot is a headshot, which is really annoying when it happens. I got diamond last night. Throughout the grind i only had a standard version of the Karabin. Having got diamond and put the Karabin down never to be used again, i immediately unlocked an epic version of it. Damned annoying for a moment, but i gave it a go on the firing range to see how it looked and the bezel around the sight is much thicker than the standard one, blocking out more of your field of vision. So even with the XP bonus, i still wouldn't have used it. One thing i found with the Karabin was that i had a number of shots that were lined up perfectly that didn't register as a hit. I haven't had a single similar experience with any of the other snipers. It felt like a glitch to me.
Downloaded and installed DLC1 but couldn't understand why none of the new maps were coming up. Just looked it up and they're only available on the 'featured' playlist, which i hadn't flicked over to. Hopefully everyone else is brighter than i am, but i highlight this just in case there are any of my fellow members of the Associated Union of d

I downloaded the DLC pack last night , Played about 10 games and wondered why none of the maps were appearing. Googled how to check that it was installed properly (I'm usually on the PS3 so not as proficient on the PS4) and it was installed fine. Hmm, a bit more Googling and a few hours later, by which time Mrs Toon had given up on any evening conversation and went to bed and someone else asked the question on a forum. That's when I found out. Featured heads on here....
I prefer Team Deathmatch but I presume the maps will available on normal modes when more people have got the pack.

Had my best game of War the other day. just over 80 kills on operation breakout and got gold camo on the PPFSH. Brilliant. Next match was back to normal though a whopping 25 kills on Operation Griffin. Sigh.
Anyone had a Flak gun event yet?

80 kills! That's some quick killing. Top work. I've gone 53/16 playing Hardpoint and 53/17 playing Demolition, both of which felt like things were going about as well as they will ever go for me. I've heard of flak gun events but never seen one. But then I've been on holiday for the last week.
Glad to see the return of Demolition, it's always been a favourite of mine. But both Demolition and Hardpoint are suffering from the Requisitions basic training (the one where killstreaks don't reset on death but have a higher cost). It makes it far too easy to earn high-end streaks. Good players could earn all the streaks pretty much every game. Being on the receiving end of four sets of carpet bombs in a single match is just dull. Compared to previous CoD games that had a similar perk, the top end streaks are easier to earn in WWII.
It's a particular problem in Demolition, where people are saving a fire bombing run for overtime. Drop it on the objective and you're near guaranteed the win.
I'm starting to get into the game a bit more now that I've turned down the sensitivity settings my son had put to silly levels. I can actually get positive KD's in some game modes now! I'm really liking the DLC maps, especially the MW3 Resistance remake. I played that game to death. Hopefully they will open these maps up to normal game modes as I only really like playing TDM.
