Why the fk isn’t there a no party/no clan section? Drains the life out of when there are a group playing and just sprint and camp the spawn point. Game becomes utterly pointless and utterly tedious.

It’ll be worse for the next week or two, kids are off school. I barely bother playing while it’s the holidays, ends up being full of campers or just little tts that are far too bloody good.

That it does, but i can't say it's happened too often to me. The plus side is when a bunch of randoms beat a clan hehe

I'll have another look at it when DLC 2 drops, but I've stopped playing until then. I like playing objective-based games, mainly Hardpoint and Dom. Requisitions has ruined those game modes for me. A lot of people are running it these days and continuously being on the wrong end of high-end streaks that is just dull. It clearly needs to be changed and i've seen YouTube folk have been saying as much.

I went back to Rocket League and found myself having far more fun.

Defo agree here. 4 paratrooper drops in a row near end of games is killing it.

Still playing it. Will stop when I get all the challenges done I think or when I tick over to Prestige 5 (at 4 lvl 24) or get a V2, which ever comes first. The Mrs is beginning to hate me playing it.

Latest update has removed the wallbanging by A and C crate so spawn trapping on this map is not as easy as sitting on A with a lewis and shooting at a crate.

I only run requisition on Shipment. You still need to earn 3000 points to get paratroopers with Req. That's still no mean feat on any map that isn't shipment especially since you only get 50 pts for a kill. You still need to a few caps as well to get that amount of points. So it's not like Timmy no thumbs will be earing these high end streaks anyways.

Started playing HC and boy is that like a breath of fresh air. Much better than core.

DLC2 in about a month for Xbox owners, sooner for PS4 obviously. Looks good and with a new war map with dog fighting! Liked the dog fight bit in the campaign so hoping it will be like that.

Think I played against you the other week Ruskie. Is your gamertag the same as you ph username clan tag PH ?

That's a welcome update for sure.

I'm Prestige 5, level 30 something. I see DLC 2 is 10th April on the PS4. The new Grenadier class brings back the noob tube (or a rifle launched grenade if you prefer). Apparently the code was already in the game, so people have had a look and only a direct impact is a 1 hit kill. With hunker / armoured the damage is minimal. So a long way from the MW2 noob tube / one man army / danger close days.

I may or may not have been guilty of using a LMG and shooting at a crate a few times myself. But yeah it was getting bad when you spawn in and insta die 4 or 5 times in a row. Always made it a goal to melee whoever was doing it. Sweet revenge.

I do like a noob tube. They can be fun to use if you are accurate and can make people rage quit smile

New orders are 150 games for 2 x heroic weapon bribe (got yet another fancy pants shovel and a type 100 last time) and some shoot gun multi kills for a fancy combat shotgun. Shipment was already a shottie fest before this it will be worse now. Might break out the diamond sawn off just for a laugh.

I really need to play this game more. I've not played it much since release (nowhere near 1st prestige yet!). I don't understand how a lot of the game works outside the normal run and gun TDM games I play. No idea about the operations, supply drops, etc. It just seems like a bit of a faff. I've gone back to Ghosts on the PS3 which is as simple as it gets!

Play WAR, it's great for upping your prestige level. Doesn't effect your stats either so you can run and gun and play aggressively. Or just go to featured games, select Shipment and enjoy the mayhem.

One thing they got perfect IMO was the collectibles and crate drops. Perfect balance because of the daily challenges and contracts.

So DLC2 has arrived and I've been able to have a quick go. Thoughts are....

...firstly I'd point out that if you don't have a great internet connection, there're two big downloads needed. One is the general game update, which i think was maybe 4GB, then the DLC 2 download itself was 5.1GB.

I'm a fan of the massive overhaul to the divisions system. I think it's made all of the divisions more viable, with a greater ability to specialise. The obvious example being you can now run Mountain with a silenced SMG to stay off the map permanently. The general consensus seems to be that Armoured is now top-tier with FMJ and hunker both built in. Airbourne used to be a favourite of mine, but now that all divisions have infinite sprint I don't think it adds much anymore.

I tried two of the new standard maps, Dunkirk and V2. Dunkirk seemed like a great map with a two lane system. A beach side that's open with long sight lines, then the building side that's very close quarters. V2 is clearly a very fast paced and busy map. If you're on the V2 launchpad in the middle of the map ('B' in Dom) you can be killed from every conceivable direction. It makes Shipment look slow and well organised.

I also gave the new War map a go. I played on both attack and defence and in both instances the attacking team won quite easily. It all seemed to be over in a flash too. The downside was the dogfight, which is the final objective. It's a basic flight simulator that to me feels like a gimmick thrown in so that they can include footage of it in the marketing campaign. It bins the fundamental point of war, which is that you have an attacking and defending team with each role playing differently, instead switching to basically TDM in the sky. Note that it will invert your look direction (Y-axis) no matter which way you play normally. I play with an inverted look normally. Some people find that weird and I've always explained it to people by pointing out that it follows the same principle as flight controls. But nope, the game still switched it round. So you might want to go into settings and switch it before playing the map, or you'll have to switch it mid-flight which inevitably = death.

One other thing to keep an eye open for is an obvious bug in the dogfight spawn system. Effectively, you all have to fly around in a giant sphere in the sky and if you fly outside that sphere you get the standard countdown before dying. You spawn in on the edge of the sphere, which makes sense. What didn't is when on a few occasions i spawned in on the edge of the sphere pointing outwards, so you immediately fly out of bounds and die. It might be possible to turn round in time but it isn't easy and clearly shouldn't happen in the first place. So from what I've seen to date, planes should have been left to Battlefield.

Requisitions is still in the game, which is a shame. But hopefully the addition of Blitzkrieg will see fewer people running it.

When I read the patch notes it looked like Armoured would be the one to use. Not that bothered as that and Mountain are the only ones I haven't got to max prestige yet.

See they also got paint jobs working now. I look forward to being shot with a gun with a dick on it. Fun times ahead.

Shame about the plane thing, was looking forward to that but hopefully once the ps4 users have tested it by the time it hits xbox it will be bang on smile

As for req, I use it on shipment, no shame biggrin but doesn't blitzgreig give you the buffed score streaks.

Loving the new maps V2 has a proper little surprise up its sleeve if youre in the wrong place at the wrong time. Egypt is very cool, creep around the corridors and different heights too. Dunkirk is a great mix of scope action and close quarters.

Haven't checked out all the new loadouts yet and streak changes

I've been grinding Armoured for what seems like an age. Halfway through level 4 of the Gold prestige, so almost there. I've maxed Infantry, Airbourne and Mountain, with Expeditionary and Resistance still way back on bronze prestige.

Always amusing, never a surprise. Given the quality of artwork some people managed with the emblems, i'm hoping there'll be some awesome, as well as phallic, camo's. Not that the two are mutually exclusive of course...

Personally, i don't get angry with people using things like requisitions. I think it's the role of the developers to address it, rather than for the community to self-police it. If it's in the game, why shouldn't people use it?

Oh and finally i think they've added a rifle bullet as an attachment to some (maybe all) shotguns? I haven't used it but it was available for one of the double barrel shotguns. Or has it always been there and i hadn't noticed?

Was only available for double barrel. If the toggle action has it, my god that gun is st but still better than the sawn off, then it should make it a bit more viable in core. The sawn off you might as well use it as a melee weapon as it's just crap at being a gun, hardest one for me to get it to gold. Combat shotgun has had a stealth nerf by all accounts though no proof. Did seem a bit strange when I used it on Sunday but I am sometimes inconsistent, must be getting old smile .

First off I can get my streaks on most map (Recon, counter recon and Paras) so only run requisition on shipment (Flak gun or maybe Paras, Carpet bombing, BTG) it's there and there to use. As I said before, Timmy no thumbs ain't going to be getting a ball turret gunner that easily as it requires a score of over 3K or something like that. That's over 30/40 kills plus some caps in dom and on maps other than shipment that ain't going to be happening. Recon, fighter pilot and maybe a artillery barrage is the best little Timmy will be able to do.

Most of the people that whinge about it only mention that Timmy doesn't deserve to get those streaks and should just get good, strikes me as a bit elitist sometimes but then that's the cod community, salty !

As for this blitzgreig BT, it's going to ruin OBJ modes as it's not point based but kill based. Where is the incentive to cap B for people that run it? A lot of people play Dom just like TDM as it is and this new BT could make that even worse.

One month to wait for the new maps for me. Dam PS4 exclusive, will soon be over though and Xbox will get it first! 5 year deal or something isn't it?

I didn't know there was a switch in the exclusivity deal, but given the decline in popularity of CoD and the stellar rise in popularity of the battle royale games, I wouldn't be surprised if whoever signed the contract might be regretting it!

One thing I'm liking at the moment is the number of orders that now directly award a gun. Yesterday there was a daily order (still available until 6pm today i think) requiring 15 tactical knife kills that rewarded a Heroic version of the 1911 pistol. Seemed very worthwhile but I didn't have the tactical knife available on any of my pistols so I played a couple of games of Shipment running Dualist and the 1911s. Figured it would be a breeze, but the Shipment only playlist is full of people sitting in the four corners rather than charging through the middle, which was where i needed them. Nonetheless, tactical knife unlocked i figured i'd have to grind out 15 melee kills, which I've never been very good at. To my ongoing surprise, I got all 15 in the first half of a game of Dom on the new map Dunkirk. It felt like it had the old MW2 Commando Pro perk. I was running through a hailstorm of bullets and stabbing people in the face. I reckon I had a few people raging, I would have been!

I also noticed the guns now go up to Prestige 3 with a tiger camo pattern unlocked when you get there.

It’s reaching new levels of scumbaggery on this game now. People just don’t play the objective. Games for people like me who try and play for the team are utterly tedious as you try attempt after attempt to capture a base only to get repeatedly killed trying whilst your team mates sit back.

So 1 prestige level away from MP. Will be the first time I've hit MP in any COD.

Still no V2 rocket. Got a 23 kill streak on Shipment the other day only to die to a random grenade. And no I wasn't camping with a Lewis LMG.

Chrome still not achieved, just can't get the hang of the pistols.

All in all still having fun with it and with the new DLC and Dog Fighting it's still got me hooked.

Hate the new division. It's annoying as hell and hit box with it is a bit screwed. Sticky nades work well against it though.
