Red Dead Redemption 2 (NO SPOILERS)

I've checked for updates, and it says the game is UTD. But I heard stories of people taking 12 hours and suchlike to download the updates on release day. Was that just down to bandwidth, or am I missing something?

AFAIK there was a day one patch for disc users irrc.
I got the digital version so not 100% sure though

Have you let the game boot-up at all ?

Yes, this was the disk version. Yes it boots. I've not let gameplay start, but it gets as far as the first spoken bit.

I got the disc, also special edition. Took a couple of hours tops to install

There was a lovely looking rose red orangey coloured horse with its head over a dry stone wall, "would make a fine stead i thought" and looked strong!.... then i remember i was driving to work in the real world

It should display the current version on the main main in the bottom right hand corner

GAhhhhhhh!!!! Major plot spoilers.. Can the ones above be removed now so it doesn't spoil it for more people please... It's not so much of a problem for the random encounters, but the stuff above is really major stuff and ruins a couple of surprises the game has in store.

Yeh thats me out until I complete the story.

Just read a couple of things I really didn't want to. Enjoy the game people and I'll come back to this thread once I've completed the story.

It's a 120GB ish game, people who bought the digital version were at the mercy of their bandwidth.

Disc buyers only needed an additional 3GB of Data and yes it downloads at the same time as it transfers data from the discs so you don't notice it. It was about a 45-60 min job to install for me.
