I absolutely hated the dream sequence rubbish in FC4, nearly stopped me from finishing the game.
However I loved Primal. The setting is great, the story is simple but effective, the animal companions work really well. I would definitely recommend it.
I hated the ones that involved flying where you had to get the path exactly right or start again. The rest were OK. I absolutely wanted to murder most savagely those two fks who drugged me though. However I loved Primal. The setting is great, the story is simple but effective, the animal companions work really well. I would definitely recommend it.

This and this. All the dream / temple nonsense in FC4 was just infuriating. However I loved Primal. The setting is great, the story is simple but effective, the animal companions work really well. I would definitely recommend it.
For Primal however, barring two short "dream" missions, there's nothing else akin to it. The whole animal control / interaction thing along with the escort / support missions has also clearly laid the groundwork for FC5. There's an awful lot more to do and a heck of a lot more skills / equipment upgrades to do which keeps one engaged rather longer as well.

Just pre ordered the gold edition giving you the season pass which is a first for me. I usually don’t bother since most of the time season passes are a waste of money, but with this they’re offering a few spin off games plus a remastered edition of Far Cry 3. This beeing my favourite out of all the series. Anyone else done the same?

Hmm may end up with this.... Kind of hoping the map is pretty large....
Nice to see you again J and J!I've been getting into co-op Far Cry 4 lately, it's pretty good although I wish you didn't automatically leave the levels after the last kill, would be nice to spend time thrashing about them in all the vehicles without worrying about a sniper.

Oddly Far Cry is one I've never played online..... For online gaming I like Battlefield, can have 2-3 friends in your squad and run as a unit.....Whilst chatting...
