Smashed the raid from start to finish in about an hour yesterday. Think there was 1 genuine "we f*cked up" wipes so the mechanics are nailed. Can't confess that I know the gardens in intricate detail but have a fair idea of the routes. Luckily I can follow fairly well. smile

Have to say the raid isn't great. Drops are okay- the rocket launcher in particular is stand out, but too infrequent. It is also too mechanic heavy for me. I didn't buy a FPS shooter to hide from dogs under trees. I can pop down to the park and do that. heheeek

Enjoyed it for the social aspect (despite me no doubt being a pain biggrin) but I'm enjoying fireteam public events more. All in all, I was a bit negative about D2 but I'm starting to really enjoy it.

Seen that the full raid can be cracked in 20 minutes or so. That is impressive! biggrin

I'm sure this has been asked before but is this worth buying for the single player? or is it the same as the first, really geared up specifically for multiplayer?

I'm an antisocial git most of the time and prefer playing that way!

I've got to where I am now just playing on my own, the main campaign is pretty fun and there are a bunch interesting side quests and stuff to do.

Long term I'm not so sure, now that I'm starting to get into the grind I reckon I'll get bored if I don't get more involved with the social multiplayer side.

I want to do the Raid but only have 3 mates who have Destiny 2. frown

Im guessing its nigh on impossible with a 4 man fireteam. Currently a 281 power but could go up to 283 with a gear change.

The raid is very mechanic heavy and doing it with any less than 6, which the mechanics have been designed for, and is why Guided Games exists, would be very difficult.

In fact it's so mechanic heavy that I've only done a bit of the raid with the clan I'm in but not really interested in doing it any more. It's not enjoyable for me and the rewards are gash.

That’s what Guided games have been introduced for.

I play predominantly as a solo player as I did through D1. I have found D2 allows me to do a lot more 'social' stuff like public events and such because they are so much better signposted but always with randoms.

I have also ventured into the crucible for a few games and found this much better than I was expecting it to be, just hopped in with some randoms.

In my view, it is better for solo play than D1 but things like the raid are always likely to be beyond me.

If you ditch one of them me and 2 friends are looking to do a blind raid tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Quite a lot of the PH crew on here are in a D2 clan called "Vex Pistols". Can be a good way to find others to team up with without having to resort to LFG and the like

If you and your mates are interested, drop a note here with your PSN names and I'll send you all invites

That goes for anyone else on here who is actively playing the game

My PSN tag is same as on here too

Ill have a word about the clan. We currently have a 3 man clan lol so we are not really getting any benefit. We have finished this weeks nightfall though with about 10 seconds left. It was close.

Not sure how we are supposed to shave 5 minutes of it. We thought our stratagy was ok but obviously not. We got to the final boss with 6 minutes remaining so we have a lot of time to shave off.

Cool, whatever works for you guys smile

Ah yes, the Nightfall. I can testify that it can be done with 5 mins left but it does get ridiculously hectic at the end. You need to be dropping into the final boss with around 10 mins to go and the the trick is to skip sections entirely (the drop down section and the bit with the witch just before the spinning lasers, just try and leg it past them)

Managed to do the regular nightfall with probably about 6 mins left, prestige nightfall was a real good challenge though, pretty much only just did it.

I've had an annoying issue the last couple of weeks where I cannot upload Sharefactory videos to youtube from the PS4, instead I get stuck in an infinite loop of signing in to youtube, clicking to upload, signing in to youtube, clicking to upload, yadda yadda yadda. It's getting very annoying, especially as even the collective might of the internet cannot agree on a single fix. I've tried many, none of which have worked.

Don't worry, Moog, your Nightfall heroics (and my subsequent yells of delight) are still captured for all eternity, I just can't upload them yet. I've also got a couple of amusing PvP lag videos showing enemies seemingly moving a 1 frame per second as they move, making them impossible to hit, the token guy you shoot who takes no damage then dies a few seconds later, a few PvE physics fails where hitting a ledge at an angle sends you flying hundreds of feet away and kiling you on impact and a few more bits I wanted to share but can't.

I've been enjoying the faction rally stuff for the most part. My warlock main went with Future War Cult, as he did in the first game, and I've now completed my armour and weapon sets (apologies again to Shane for shrieking when I got the chest piece after plowing through 500 tokens to do so!), and my Titan is almost fully decked in New Monarchy gear. No, I have no real feelings toward New Monarchy one way or the other, but the titan gear and shaders look fantastic. Small confession; I have succumbed to what feels like a Destiny 1 grind by running the lost sector in Titan over and over again. It's extremely efficient, yielding roughly six faction tokens every minute, but it is almost insufferably boring. I tend to run it for twenty minutes at a time then when the need to cut myself starts to build up, I go and do something else.

Like work on my hunter.

I wasn't the biggest hunter fan in D1, that's no real secret, but running a low level Arcstrider just feels ridiculously weak. It isn't helped by the fact that the story - which I genuinely really enjoyed the first time through the game - now just feels like its in the way. I've already beaten Ghaul twice and I don't care about doing it a 3rd time, everything now just feels like a chore. Every story mini-boss feels like a Destiny 1-style bullet sponge, and having certain missions gated behind level requirements means you can't just jump in and speed-run through every mission. I just want to hit level 20 and get on with the real meat of the game.

I have just reached 260 today so am getting close to raid ready. Fair to say I haven't ever done a raid in D1 but do fancy giving this one a go.

Next weekend, both Saturday and Sunday I am home alone all day so have plenty of time if anybody wants to give it a go. I am already part of the PH Clan, Skeeter1600e there,

I imagine at 260 you can probably be carried by a good team through but yesterday the only 280 in the group was struggling where at 300 I wasn't finding it an issue. It could be skill difference I suppose though.

There were quite a lot of people on yesterday afternoon ready to Raid, so many in fact that at one point we thought we may get enough for two, yes two, teams! Sadly, that didn't happen, but as more people hit higher power levels, hopefully there should be a fair number about

280 is plenty to get started with the Raid, more important is having 6 players and not to take it too seriously (which, if you play with us lot, shouldn't be difficult). Even if only the first encounter or two is completed, it's worth having a crack at it to gain knowledge and experience if nothing else

We've been having difficulty simply getting the numbers to get an attempt started

If it is a skill thing then I think I probably need to be around 400!
