Well steam has been really slow all day because of this sale.

I picked up a couple from my wishlist: Little nightmares and Dust: An Elysium tale. I was also tempted by Nier Automata but might wait for that to come down a little more first.

Was also tempted by Deus Ex: MD but that wasn't any cheaper than a couple of weeks ago.

The Season Pass of De:MD has a huge saving though. I was hoping it would be in the Steam Sale and I wasn't disappointed.

I can recommend offworld trading company. It's great, online games are quite fast and frenetic, lots to think about, quite difficult, but so satisfying when you outsmart your opponents and so tense as you race to buy each other out. Bit of a steep learning curve but very worthwhile.

Well, Day of the Tentacle is everything I remembered. Unfortunately, I remember every tiny detail of it, so I'm not sure how much replayability there is here.

Seems the PayPal offer is no longer available. I get "Thanks you for being a loyal customer. Unfortunately, you can't save any more offers for this merchant at the moment".

A quick google suggests that there was a paltry £24k put aside for this and when that was expended the offer expired. Which is a bit pants.

Edit: T&Cs of the offer say "The Offer shall not be available if the aggregate monetary amount credited to customers reaches GBP 24,000.00"

I think it's pretty crap that the offer is meant to run from 20th June to 5th July, but has run out after less than 3 days.
Yeah, it ran out before the Steam sale even started and they are some sort of Sponsor/ Partner for the sale! A bit of an own goal there.

Picked up some cheap older stuff anyway. I'd rather have most kinds of games on my PS4 Pro to be honest (not a fan of sitting at a desk in front of a PC in the evening after a day of mostly sitting at a desk in front of a PC) but my Shield TV does make PC gaming more appealing by allowing me to stream to my telly in the living room.

{sigh}

When you get an email that says "83 items from your wishlist are on sale!"

Gee, thanks.

Indeed.

The cap was ridiculously low, and the discount too high. So not only was the pie too small but the slices of the pie were too big, so not many people got even a taste of pie. Mmmmm pie.

They would have been better off making it a 10% discount (£2) rather than 25% (£5) as more people would have benefited.

Also, a £24k pot was just pathetic.

Trying to decide between:

Wasteland 2 and Hyper Light Drifter. Love the old 2d Zelda games if that matters.

And

Bioshock Collection and Black Mesa. Played HL to death back in the day and only played the original Bioshock once as a "bad guy" to get the abilities easier.

Borderlands is brilliant in co-op, but I'd only purchase it if you have a mate (or two) to play it with. I found SP to be boring, but played though in 4 player is an absolute blast.

I've picked up "Sound Boxing" which is a decent little VR game (and good exercise to boot).
I'd already picked up Dying Light in the previous sale, so still working through that!

Tempted by Dishonored 2, but seems it still suffering from some technical difficulties if the Steam reviews are being believed.

If anyone notices any good 'walking sims' in the sale... gis a heads up?

I think I've played the well known ones already (Firewatch, Ethan Carter, Gone Home, Dear Esther, Soma)

I'm just looking for an atmospheric, story based game to lose myself in for a few hours. At 34 I'm a bit bored of killing people in FPS's.

I don't think the discounts this year are as big as in previous years. Not much dipping below a fiver, either that or i've already got all the worthwhile games from this low pricepoint.

Can't say whether Grim Dawn is any good but I can say I have over 500 hours in it so far. And a new patch is allegedly due soon to give further content and new classes.

Not that I'll ever play them, mind.

The Bioshock Collection is down to a tenner but I had a hard time finding it when searching 'Bioshock' (the search results only included the individual games (unless I'm missing something))

http://store.steampowered.com/sub/127633/

I missed 1 & 2 the first time around. Loved the 3rd on the PS3, though.

I picked up My Summer Car... smile
Also considering some other games, like Stellaris, but Elite Dangerous is 'scooping up' most of my gaming time.
