Forza Motorsport 7

Is it better than Forza 6? From reading the reviews and what I've seen here it isn't a bad game but I can't recall seeing a direct comparison? I pretty much despised that game and I ended up trading it in for Horizon 3.
It has its ups and downs. Forza 6 runs smoother but doesn't have the extra cars, physics, weather and tracks. Down to opinion really. ukaskew said:
Does Forza 6 have hotlapping? Seriously considering requesting a refund (which seems to be successful if you quote the VIP issue) and picking up 6 instead.
You'd be bonkers to get 6. It's a great game but still 2 years old now. If you're not happy with 7 I'd be picking up Project cars 2 instead.RumbleOfThunder said:

I only really buy Forza for multiplayer.
I've loaded it up just now and done the Truck, GT2 and GTR etc.
I've done a round of Forza cup in my 959 i picked.
Had a look at car collection and it looks like all my cars from Forza 6 yet it says I own none. So are none carried over?
Guessing I had to start again buying cars I realise they don't have a class next to them in the for sale bit. Eg I'm looking for an F to tune up to a D.
Went on lobby to see what the classes are like and there isn't E, D, C etc.
Just names such as modern hot hatch.
So is the game not fully loaded yet or is there a complete new lobby system. And if so how do I know what class a car fits into and how high I can tune it.
I'm crap at this stuff. I just like racing people online.
PS my Game Ultimate edition pre order still into here and they won't look into it until Friday, when its officially 5 days late.
So my wife just picked me up a standard version on her way home.
Game can have theres back if it ever turns up.

Scrub that I've just found proper showroom etc.
Only thing I'm still stuck on now is I can't find the lobbies as mentioned
When you highlight the championship should be a button to press for details of what can enter. Only thing I'm still stuck on now is I can't find the lobbies as mentioned
C500 is the class for hot hatch.
Other option is join the lobby and see what the class is.
Yeah Kowalski. That's what it looks like.
I'm a bit meh about it 3 hours in.
Obviously it's just a case of unfamiliarity and I'm sure when they introduce the proper class lobbies I'll like it.
I'm mainly in modern hatch which is C class today.
Not bad but full grids and first corner carnage.
So not bad but I may fire up FM6 later as I've had some good racing on there over the weekend.
I also think your cars should roll over if you've had the previous game. Just because I'm lazy and don't look forward to buying them all again.

Reading around the VIP is apparently a complete rip off since it's a temporary boost, and several cars are hidden behind loot boxes? They're also adding microtransactions in a later update, which I'm sure isn't because it means the launch reviews won't mention it.
Yup VIP is a rip off, I am pretty disappointed with it. T10 and Microsoft really dropped the ball, especially pre-release, it wasn't made clear VIP would be a temporary credit boost. They have only recently updated the store that shows VIP is a temporary boost (25 races worth), in response to the angry folk on the forums, Reddit, Twitter etc. The VIP race suits look pretty naff too, just a few different colours and VIP printed all over them.. Yet another massive disappointment. Sure,it looks pretty enough. AI is weird and the physics are odd.
The whole game feels like you're there to chase the developer's whims.
Having been wound up by the straight-jacket that is career mode, I opted for free play, only to find that all I can access is Dubai? No thanks.
And the vinyl editor still has the same bugs that broke it in FM6 and FH3 on my system, so I can't make any of my own liveries... again.
This is the second consecutive full-price xbox title I've bought recently that is SO irritating and disappointing that I'm on the verge of abandoning the platform.
And these criticisms ignore the micro-transactions, online anarchy and rip-off VIP pass . It's interesting that the press reviews have been so overwhelmingly positive, yet it's polarized user opinion.

Another disappointed player here. Why the car classes, rather than the performance index? I want to build a A700 Jag mk2 to race in the 'Open series' against Porsches and Ferraris. Why the forced rolling starts? Why the 2/3 lap races where you start in the middle of the pack? Why don't all the cars have their lights on all the time? Why can't I have the vinyl layer group the same size on both sides of a car? Why are my imported layer groups glitched?
Why have I paid good money to be driving the same Lotus Cortina with the same livery around mostly the same tracks? why am I already a little bored after 3 days?

I'm bored after 5 hours to be honest.
Forza 6 on the other hand has been great over the weekend.
I think all the idiots have move over to fm7, as there are just good clean people on FM6 at the moment.
I think fm7 will be good once they introduce the properly classed lobbies.
Until then it's a bit pointless for me.
