So after allowing an hour to install I've now started the 32GB update. fking embarrassing that the industry has got to this stage. Dev's have nothing but contempt for the customer to allow such unfinished ste get through QC. I HAVE A 20 MEG LINE YOU ttS!
I have a 5 meg line..So after my head loss last night it allowed me to play after 25% of the update. I cracked on with the Cup and I wasn't restricted because of this. Have to say I'm chuffed overall. I'd rather they not waste time with junk like race suits, genders, loot crates, mods and all that other bks but accept this is part and parcel of a AAA studio game these days. With all assists off and simulation steering the handling model feels fantastic to my controller. Still v early days though.
Yeah I think my main issue currently is AI. The speed differences aside, they also seem to behave like they're on rails. They don't have any self preservation, so if you hold the racing line going into a corner, they will just go into the side of you. Or if you brake to avoid shunting another car, you end up getting shunted yourself.
Had fun racing Early Prototypes last night, but I noticed dozens of them going off at turn 7 (Dunlop curve) on Suzuka. They also bump into the wall at turns 4/5 at Bathurst. Which again leads me to think they're on rails...
Project Cars 1 didn't have the best AI, but they did actively try and avoid crashing and allowed room to race. So something like that system needs to be added in if possible. But at least PC1 had qualifying, it is a bit of a chore starting 13th (or lower) every race in Forza.

I have a 5 meg line..Another big plus to this game that I forgot to mention was the ability to change controller settings in race, no more going back out of races and through menus to change the wheel settings from road to race car if you forget!!!
Been busy all week but will put some hours in over the weekend if I can get the kids off minecraft and fifa.
I'm mostly enjoying it. I've turned off all assists except rewind and set AI level to highly skilled.
AI are a bit bargey, rewind is quite frustrating as it seems to sloooowwwlly take you back way too far and some of the cars are bloody hard to drive. I gave up trying to drive the Stratos!
It's taking a bit of time to adjust to each car, they all seem more sensitive to inputs than previous Forzas, but very rewarding when you get it right.
I was hoping to see a return of the big choice of different events, like in Forza 4, where you had the chance to use lots of different cars in various races.

This is the only forza I've played that has made me want to play the single player all the way through, I'm liking it quite a lot at the moment but I can't wait for some new multiplayer hoppers the current ones are a bit boring I think
Interesting as I've found single player to be quite weak. I've completed Forza 3,4,5 and 6 100% but this is boring me purely on the premise that they're no longer restricted to PI so I can't build a crappy car up to take them on. Not being able to put race tyres on anything is really getting on my tits as well. The online multiplayer really is a joke; no performance index based hoppers, instead there are only a few homologation classes to choose from. So of the 700 cars in the game, fewer than 100 are eligible for use in multiplayer. I sort of get the homologation thing for the single player forza cup, but part of what made playing online fun in previous games was racing your Megane against other people's Dodge Challengers, Imprezas and F430s. Or even just having the freedom to race whatever you want in your garage online. Of my 50+ cars, only about 6 are use-able in multiplayer because the rest are from classes which don't feature in the hoppers.
Does anyone know if the multiplayer is due an update soon to allow for PI based hoppers, or at least if the homologation class hoppers will be rotated frequently to allow for different car classes? Racing hot hatches is getting pretty dull...
Forza 6's multiplayer was great - if it ain't broke, etc...

I'm enjoying it so far, only played for a few hours
More a polished version of 6 than a new game, however that's not a bad thing!
Arcade-Sim handling is fine for me as I only play with a pad, and I've encountered no bugs so far.
The car customisation, along with the bad taste Project Cars 1 left in my mouth means I only ever go for Forza games as an XBox user-along with Codemasters racing titles

Officially done with this game. Somehow they've managed to make my favourite game series into something I can't stand anymore. I'm a sad bd that does three laps on Nurburgring GP and notes down the fastest time with each of the supercars because I have no life but after doing about 20 I've realised that the rented cars aren't standard and are in fact all modified in some way so now my lap times are all useless and I can't do this again until I've bought all the cars in the game.
Forza 6 was perfect but for some reason they've decided to change all of that up for no apparent reason to this failure of a game. Career mode is boring and too restricted, the AI just smash you off of the track, you can't even rent a standard car, the VIP package was a waste of money and the menus are laggy.
Congratulations Turn 10, you've made a st game. I can't see myself buying another Forza game in the future.
