Can any PC users tell me whether you can freely transfer the files to other computers?
As far as I know Microsoft encrypt the files and make you redownload it every single time which means they ain't getting a penny from me.
You cant just copy it all over to your mate's pc no, they tend to try and stop that lolAs far as I know Microsoft encrypt the files and make you redownload it every single time which means they ain't getting a penny from me.
Isn't it locked in to your Xbox Live ID?

With steam all you have to do is transfer the files, fire up your client and you're good as new. Isn't it locked in to your Xbox Live ID?
With Forza Apex or whatever it was called you can't do anything other than download it again if you transfer it across or if you reinstall Windows on the original machine where it resided. It's all encrypted. As my broadband is pisspoor that would take several days to over a week for a 50gb game on several computers when it's ten minutes with other publishers. You should only have to download once and that's it.
As far as I know Microsoft is the only game operation where this happens. With every other one you can transfer files and use the same account. I can't believe they haven't addressed this so I'm wondering if they have.

Late to the party as usual but at £19.99 I thought I’d pick this up. Any tips for a newbie? I’ve basically not played any racing games seriously since the original Gran Turismo which must have been late 90s(?!)
Christ I feel old. I’m off for a lie down.
Slow round the corners, fast down the straights. Learn to drive the cars without ABS / TC / Stability control, and with manual gearbox - faster than the alternatives.Christ I feel old. I’m off for a lie down.
Failrace video of a 'What if DTM wasn't silhouette cars' race. M4, RS5, CLK AMG, Giulietta, S60 Polestar, Kia Stinger. All around 500bhp, rear drive, S class PI.

Yes at the price it is now. Only on Xbox tho don't touch the pc version they should just can that and concentrate on its real home on the Xbox.
Thanks - went and bought it.Now ive had Forza 3,4, 6 and now 7 and initially (i mean first 20 minutes) wasnt good - far too much stupid avatar jigs, cartoon elements and style and thought theyd removed hot lapping and general pratting about ability but i have to say its really grown - much more than 6 did.
Played around with the controller setting and then a deep dive into the free play so i could get test drives and free plays with whatever circuit i want and no AI racing and that was fun - meant i was able to quick jump between circuits and cars easily.
So, so far i have 4 cars which were all gifted and were then when i started the game and 300,000 credits which again was there when i started.
Ive effectively got a blank canvas, havent started buying or racing yet. Im keen to enjoy it and start of with a small, slowish but enjoyable car than jump straight into buying the high end supercars- if you were me and knowing what you know, how would advise i start and what level 1 car would you advise i start with?
Just play through career, you will get lots of levelling up cars, even top end cars.
Money and cars are easy to accumulate, it's only if you want specific cars you need to spend money.
Also, strategically use the mod cards to multiply up your winnings. Only buy the veteran mods card crates, the lower ones are a waste of time.
Also don't buy crates for suits etc again a waste of money.
Forzathon is also a good source for free stuff.
And make sure you go to the Forza hub (in game NOT the website) every Friday to claim free money.
Finally, ALL the cars drive better with a downloaded tune. For career you will need Div Spec tunes. Online you can then install class tunes to take them to the top of the class A S R etc
Hope that helps

In career mode class is irrelevant, you will be racing a certain division (type of cars) in each career race.
This doesn't necessarily mean stock as it will still be able to be tuned within the Division Spec (tunes called Div Spec when you look for tunes in the Get Tunes section).
So when you go through Career mode choose a race for a car you have, download a Div Spec tune, apply it then go do your race. If you just do career mode with stock cars you will hate it.
Raceboy has Div Spec tunes for nearly every car in the game. When you find one of his tunes, before you download it, select Author Options (I think) and follow him. That way his tunes will always appear first if there are any available.
Other favourites are AMS Venom, GTZ Liquid, PTG greeksniper and G Shedden.
Remember though when you venture online in the class hoppers you will need to usually download a different tune that takes your car to the very top of the class. Div Spec tune restrictions tend to be about 30-50 PI less than the max.
ie. the 2019 911 GT3 RS is S772 in the Sport GT Division
but if you race it in the S class hopper you can tune it to the full S800 with a different tune.
Once you get your head round those differences everything is a lot easier.

A bit late to the party, but just purchased this for my pc, but have an issue
The games slows done something rotten through traces making it unusable .
I have a fairly decent pc, I use my vive on it no issues and it has a 1070 graphics card so pc specs are fine
Any thoughts?
Be aware no matter how fast your pc is, Forza 7 on the PC is a complete mess and has just been bodged to work on it. Nearly all the technical problems on the forums are pc related. The pc will ruin your impression on Forza. As a tip don't restrict any Xbox or Windows store permissions. There is soo much wrong with it on pc. Sorry. The games slows done something rotten through traces making it unusable .

Drifting by the way it possible now by the masses due to the steering angle upgrade. Much more fun. I have drift tunes by the way for the main Nissan drift cars under "Thejackal GN" also for the Land Rover series 3 if you are doing the forzathon challenges.

Anyone played with the newly released "drift" suspension settings?
Had a quick go last night and it seems to make quite a difference, the new scoring mode is interesting too and definitely makes me want to keep playing!
Yep love it Had a quick go last night and it seems to make quite a difference, the new scoring mode is interesting too and definitely makes me want to keep playing!
Strangely online drift lobbies seem a lot cleaner and also seem easier to drift 2/3 up than it was before
So frustrated - logged on to play this again after months off, and all my saved content is gone, all cars, tunes, credits, progress.
It's a reported problem on the Forza forums, and I've emailed the contact on there.
All they can do is gift back credits and horizon cars as a goodwill gesture.
Humph.
