Forza Motorsport 7
Discussion
Played a bit of this recently, it's definitely improved a lot since launch over three years ago but the menus still badly lag, frustratingly. AI is soso, but better than any GT game or Project Cars 2. I've had a couple of decent timed mini endurance races by setting them up in freeplay. It does feel a bit stale though. FM8 won't have an excuse with the power of the Series X.
The only really satisfying AI I've raced against is F1 2020.
Still, it's a great looking game!

I sadly got bored of FM7 fairly quickly after release, I've played every single one to death since the first on the original Xbox.
Hopefully 8 will be good. I don't feel the homilogation did much favour for them. In theory it is better but it wasn't overly popular. Along with getting rid of many of the lower class racing. Starting off on FM4 with a Toyota Aygo was always great fun.

I'm on there a fair bit since it became available on Game Pass. Usual play Cycled production - using a controller. It is always a quest to get through the 1st corner. Once that is achieved it is fight to get in top 5.
There are a few guys on there who are just phenomenal (and also know where to corner cut). I guess FM8 will address the rammers and corner cutters.

Forza 7 is definitely flawed but there's still plenty of leagues racing on it week in, week out.
What I came here to say is, there's now a challenge to lap the ring in a standard (V6) Transit in memory of Sabine.
thanks Dave, just had a go on that, it's pretty cool, got just about 10m20s in the transit, no assists and stimulated damage on the controller with auto....i have to get out the wheel and petals for a proper attempt....What I came here to say is, there's now a challenge to lap the ring in a standard (V6) Transit in memory of Sabine.
does anyone know her time she posted in that van?

To go faster in the game map the clutch to the A button and you'll shave off seconds per lap on most tracks. I didn't play the game for about a year until recently, and found I was quicker on the controller when I went back to it. The wheel can be marginally faster but it takes time to get back up to speed.
