Apart from a few wobbly bits on the cars, and improved weather dynamics, I am struggling to justify this one.
Forza for me is mainly about the mix of cars; the last two Horizons and the last few Motorsports have stagnated horribly looking at the list of included makes / models (save for the GT2 and some racers).
Problem is that there's only a finite number of performance cars in the world to include in a game, especially as you don't get the off road and trial events from FHForza for me is mainly about the mix of cars; the last two Horizons and the last few Motorsports have stagnated horribly looking at the list of included makes / models (save for the GT2 and some racers).

Whilst the number is finite,it is still bloody huge! I would love to see more normal cars & classic cars & racers, rather than endless Le Mans Prototypes(that probably makes me the oddball around here )Used to have a ball in FM4 in F class Aygos,106s etc
Online in crap cars was always amusing. kowalski655 said:

Have tried the demo now and agree that the 911 seems a bit off, although maybe it's because the twisty track will take some practice. Truck racing was fun and variable weather looks like it will make a big difference

I'm with you on that one mate. alanMr Happy said:
Preordered FM7 Ultimate in June, and just cancelled it tonight. The demo didn't sell it to me at all - a repeat of my experience with Horizon 3 unfortunately.
Shame, as I was looking forward to it but even with all assists off, everything on the demo seemed glued to the track.
Really underwhelming, I hope the graphics will be better when the X comes out - the only bit of the game that gave me a bit of a graphical wow was coming around the Nurburgring GP Coca Cola Kurve in the GTR at the end of the second lap as the sun is setting.
Other than that - I thought it was a big pile of meh...
Same here I'm afraid. It just didn't grab me. All is not lost though, project cars 2 is out tomorrow so we'll see what that brings. Shame, as I was looking forward to it but even with all assists off, everything on the demo seemed glued to the track.

I'd be interested to see what people think for a casual gamer vs 6....
Looking at the content I am struggling to see enough difference to Forza 6 to justify it - was going to take a gamble on PC2 as it (and I am aware it is a bit of a gamble, as tracks like the old spa and Oulton or knockhill just seem to give a bit more variety

As a forza guy, it seems roughly where i would expect. Evolution rather than revolution. A few things I noticed in the demo:
The dynamic camera bks is horrible and like the drunk driving parts of GTA 4 (but can be turned off in the HUD)
Dubai is an interesting track - lines are not immediately obvious as its not laid out like a real track (reference points curbs etc)
The 911 GT2 highlights the problem with 911s - in the real world you drive it to the limit and a bit over - in a game you start from way over the limit and find the problems with a RR layout. Grip/power levels exaggerate this. This and pairing it with a track like dubai seems odd, as the combination of the two makes for a messy experience until you have properly learnt the track and can balance the car on the limit.
Mugello is awesome and i didn't realise how much i missed it until now.
Dynamic weather is a pretty gimmick, but depending on how much control we have, it could help engineer some brilliant races.
A lot of the "fast" guys have been protesting anything and everything, and about how they are going to burn their xbox etc, but these are the vocal ones, otherwise the reception seems generally good, though no one had high expectations for anything massively exciting appearing.

I like it. Works OK with my Fanatec gear too (on PC) so that's nice.
Any news on if it'll support VR?
Is the Demo on avaliable on PC as well? Would be nice if they add Track IR as wellAny news on if it'll support VR?
Scrap that just seen it on the windows store. Can now try this out Fingers crossed it goes better than Horizon, didnt get that working on my PC until they patched the crap out of it 6 months later
Dubai + 911 didn’t seem like the best combo to demo the game (I get that both are the cover stars). The track seems pretty terrible from what we’ve seen so far, not a patch on some of the classic sweeping Forza creations.
Pretty much hated it (straight after playing Forza Horizon 3) but going to give the game the benefit of the doubt. The Nurburgring demo in the rain was pretty cool.

+1 on the Dubai and 911. I turned it off and went back to destiny. I did not like the handling and set it up to what I normally do on Forza. Handled like a pig. I should have spent more time setting it up possibly.
As a long time fan of the series, playing all of the games since the very first Forza Motorsport, this will be the first title I decide not to purchase ...
The demo was hugely disappointing to me. The Dubai track wasn't particularly exciting or well sculpted, the 911 handled like a dog's dinner (all assists off), sense of speed is a bit 'meh', the menu music is hugely annoying, and there still seems to be some camera shake when switching off the feature in the HUD options.
I've decided to hold onto my £80 for the time being. It'll be interesting to see what others think when the full game is released next week!

The beauty of Forza Motorsport has always been that it’s beautifully weighted to a controller, with the various assists being the leveller in terms of skill. It shouldn’t need set up.The majority seem to agree that in the demo the Nissan race car in the rain is easier to drive than a road 911 on a bone dry track, that can’t be right (and a truck more compliant than both!)
