I have relented and bought this, same reason I bought PC1, the weather and night endurance races.

No problem with FFB, set it to my wheel and chose "immersive". Of the cars I tried the Aston DBR1 at Knockhill was great, Ligier Nissan at Le Mans (heavy rain & midnight) and Indycar at Indy were great, tried the Ford V8 Supercar at Bathurst and the steering was way too light until it got to a corner. Perhaps FFB problems are more car related, some good, some bad?

Have they announced PC3 yet? /cynicism

I have been away on holiday so only got back at 4am.
Tried it today.

Spent the usual time faffing with controllers and calibrating this and setting that.

I'm glad you can change ffb during races. I'm on ps4 with g29. It works well in raw with some settings I've guessed. But will continue to tweak.

Tbh graphics are about the same. Car choice is great and will only get better.

I can actually drift now!

Anyone else found that the host of a multiplayer lobby starts at the back of the grid every race?
This is on PS4.
I think that the game is very clever, much more so than PC1 and therefore, it is just predicting the inevitable for the race wink

Enjoying it so far. Only done one career race in the single seaters, the rest was just free runs getting used to it again. Left the wheel settings as standard but took gain down to about 80.

The single seaters I found easy enough to drive but God it's frustrating. Had about 10 restarts due to knotting wheels with other cars hehe

Had some more time on this over the weekend. Managed to move on from the GT5 class (hate those ginettas) and on to GT4.

Cayman GT4 is awesome! Loving the racing in this car and has made the game feel a lot better.

Is it me though or do some cars just feel wrong? I tried to XJ220S and nothing feels connected to the car!

As a test I flipped over to Assetto Corsa for an hour or so, and as much as it pains me AC kills project cars on the feel front...

Picked this up for PC at the weekend due to the positive reviews about the VR support. However it appears to be a bit too demanding for my i7 7700HQ/ GTX 1070 laptop + HTC Vive. Whereas AC will hold 90fps nearly all the time it appears PC2 cannot get close even with everything turned right down. I've got it just about playable after playing with the reprojection settings in SteamVR but it's not the joyous experience I was hoping for. It seems that it's very CPU demanding in VR and without any overclocking headroom due to the mobile CPU I'm a bit stuck. It runs very well in 2D though.

Try steam launch options
-skipcrowds
-vrnomirror
-pthreads 4

All should help gain a little performance in VR.

Besides the above, make sure you've upgraded to the latest Nvidia drivers and this guys video helped me a lot with VR framerate too:

I shall have a bit of a play, thanks for the pointers. Annoyingly recent drivers seem to introduce regular frame stutter for me in VR. I'm not alone either. If I revert to one from around July it goes away.

Assuming this is the ‘official’ thread for PC2?
Seems to be virtually no excitement over the game?
I got a week or so ago and think it’s great.
I liked AC but the online set up on a computer was diabolically bad, so glad for something far simpler to play against friends with
Just one issue, my Fanatec CSR wheel has very little feel to it, and even less over Kerr’s etc, has anyone had any issues with the wheel use?

If you’re interested there is a PC2 time trial in the stooped challenges thread or www.stoopidchallenges.com.

I’d recommend visiting the projectcarsgame.com official forums for advice on ffb and if you can’t tweak the raw setting to suit the Jack spade tweaked files give really strong ffb.

I’m a big fan but it seems the online is still a bit buggy which is keeping peeps away...it drives really nicely and I love it, but yeah it seems that there isn’t much love for it...

PC2 has been heavily criticised but both GT Sport and F1 2017 had issues too and they were made with 10 times the budget...it’s a good time to be a racing game fan despite the bugs.

Yeah, I am loving it at the moment when I am getting on, I am still relatively hopeless, haven't started career mode yet, just been playing some races online etc, but I think its ace.

I have purchased a G920 in the sales - first time I have used a wheel. Will try tonight - have found controller settings that make it ok but not perfect.

The cars look good - the tracks a little rough and ready by modern standards.

The reason I bought it was for the day/night dynamic, proper multi class le mans and club racing stuff - eg Ginetta at Knockhill on a drizzly November day.

No other game caters for that sort of thing.

Likewise, I bought a G29 and a Playseat for it, and its had me locked in for hours! I heard some moans above, but I actually love the Ginetta GT5, teaches you how to maintain speed brilliantly!

The wheel was sufficient extravagance for now. Will sort a play seat if I can't cobble together something at home.

Was a bit of an impulse purchase to be honest - not sure when I'll get the time to use it to the full extent!

It takes a little time to set it up to work well - but worth the effort

The calibration requires attention - I was constantly crossing my hands - for example in an F3 - sorry formula c - going round copse.

Had a twiddle and now my wheel movements reflect those in the car and it's much better and the inputs make much more sense.

(Also used it on dirt 4 - where it really adds to the game actually

I need to spend some time doing this next, I have used some Forcefeedback settings I found online which made a big difference, but some wheel adjustments are needed, there have been too many times with the upshift paddle is on the other side upside down!

I bought this yesterday and gave it half an hour last night.

Not sure why but it feels nearly impossible to drive, i seem to be spinning at nearly every corner.

I tried the clio at first, hopeless. Played about with the controller settings, no better. Tried a radical to see if downforce will help, then i ended up spinning in a straight line as well as the corners!

I'll persevere but compared to PC1 which i am pretty good at PC2 feels extremely difficult.

The worst thing is i have raced a clio cup car at knockhill numerous times so you would think i'd be able to get it round at least one lap without spinning.

That sucks Steve. I found it much better than PC1 in the "not crashing" part but it is a different game!
