I bought this yesterday and gave it half an hour last night.

Not sure why but it feels nearly impossible to drive, i seem to be spinning at nearly every corner.

I tried the clio at first, hopeless. Played about with the controller settings, no better. Tried a radical to see if downforce will help, then i ended up spinning in a straight line as well as the corners!

I'll persevere but compared to PC1 which i am pretty good at PC2 feels extremely difficult.

The worst thing is i have raced a clio cup car at knockhill numerous times so you would think i'd be able to get it round at least one lap without spinning.
What type of session was it? Most sessions you start out with cold tyres, which are awful. If you use time trial mode tyres are pre-heated and much better.

It was just a free practice so that might be the reason, I had a go last night and was a bit better.

Santa might have got me a Logitech and playseat so hopefully I’ll get on a bit better with that. I’ll report back after Christmas smile

That’s the start of a slippery slope lol. Currys/pcworld have the g29/920 with shifter at £149 at the moment as well...cracking bit of kit for that kind of money. I started with a g27 about 7 yrs ago. If you get hooked the kit just gets more and more expensive...

Hi guys.

I’ve finally got round to making the most of this game, rather than just playing on free practice for a 10 minute blast in a car I like, then getting bored and trying something else.

I’m currently loving online racing in both GTE and GT3 cars, and I’ve almost honed the setups to perfection; the cars I choose (Bentley Continental 2016 and Ford GT GTE) handle exactly how I want them, and even with a controller I can feel the setup difference, especially in the Ford, where I qualified P2 with a full tank, thought I’d try a low fuel run for pole but was sliding all over the place.

Anyway, the Bentley. I seem to be the only one in GT3 races using it, tends to be all Ferrari I’m up against. Doing rather well with it, averaging P3 in most races if someone doesn’t take me out on the first corner, but I have an issue. With the soft tyres, it wears them out very quickly, and the hard tyres don’t seem to get up to temperature very easily. Any ideas on setup?

One last thing, I’m making the jump to a wheel. Currently torn between a G29 or T300, any recommendations?

How are you all finding it now? Just bought this and love it, though I'm new to gaming. Got a T150 on a stand and du far it's been great. Are there better driving games to learn the ring?

If you are on console PCars 2 is as good as it gets....if you have a PC then the world is your oyster but start with Assetto Corsa it has a wealth of mods and is absolutely fantastic IMO.... oh and on PC can be picked up for under £7..

How does it perform on PS4? I could with scratching that Motorsport itch but I remember seeing it had a mass of glitches/bugs.

Got this yesterday for £13 from razer gamestore, code RGSLAUNCH15

First impressions are very good, graphics are excellent and at least on Bannochbrae the cars seem to have more grip.

No RUF CTR though!

Came back to this a few days ago to try and learn a few more circuits, it just isn't anywhere near as good as AC for feel which is a real shame as the visuals are wonderful.

I use a T300rs and the wheel is great but the pedals are very cheap. I know as I had to take them apart when I accidentally screwed them into my footplate a half turn too much and the base warped giving me no brake pedal as the teeth on both the resistor and base of the pedal are tiny and slipped. Was a b1tch to sort but they're working again.

I'll upgrade my pedals as soon as I get over the rage I was in from the last Pcars2 online race I did and a bunch of total twunts were ramming me off the track, brake checking people on the straights and generally being arses. I dropped and entire class (from a high D to a low E) and ranking points too. Not played it in the two weeks since!

How is AC for those of us who play with a controller?

I am really enjoying PC2 now I have set the controller settings how I like them.
