Glad im not the only one. Textures look far worse tht PCars1 on PC with everything cranked up.
I don't know why this isn't being talked about more. If they had the know how to make the original look superb then you would think they could make this at least as good. Can anyone comment on PS4 pro graphics?

My PS4 G29 settings are:

RAW
Gain 65
Volume 50
Tone 75
Fx 25

This is what i am using on the career in the ginettas

Much improved over the standard set up but still messing. But it will give you somewhere to start,

The skip to end glitch is annoying - on pole at Knockhill by 3 seconds on wet track with 40secs to go and end up last on grid and 5 seconds off top spot...
So it's not just me then. I was in a ginetta GT5 @ Oulton park and was top by 0.5 second after 13 minutes qualifying. Figured that would do, skip to the end and in the remaining 7 minutes ALL other AI drivers are ahead of me by between 8-10 seconds :S

I'm really struggling to get any decent laps in so far and like many others on here I'm really frustrated and struggling to enjoy it I've tried both controller and my thrustmaster T300RS setup

Tried it with 'authentic' aids where I've not been able to complete a lap (in the 720s, ginetta GT5 or Formula C) - however was still able to do fairly good laptimes in a formula A at Suzuka (think that's the one).

With aids on, tc, abs etc all set to low I can get around just fine but the performance is so muted that I've not been able to qualify anything other than dead last.

Something definitely not right as in PC1 with all aids off I was fairly well able to beat any AI and had a fairly good record online.

It's reaassuring to know it's not just me and I've not lost the ability to be fast in the last week!

Really enjoying this on the Xbox with a G920. The qualifying bug you guys have found is pretty annoying – you just have to sit there and run down the clock. I'm finding it a tad easier to catch slides than in PC1 – in fact in the Formula Rookies I'm finding it's faster to chuck the car into fast corners and deal with the slip mid-corner. Still completely enthralling/frustrating trying to nail perfect laps, but not in a bad way…

Bug only effects the first session you skip, so if you start an skip practice it skips that, if you then start qualify and set a lap and skip it's fine

Ah thanks for pointing that out! Annoyingly the Euro leg of the Formula Rookie has no practise session!

Just sat down to play and had the usual day 1 patch that affects modern games. Remember the days that companies shipped finished games? And any little bugs became charming quirks? (Or game breakers on occasion...)

Guess I'm not playing tonight.

Will there be a PH time trial like PCars 1?

Yes, but it's moved to www.willy-web.com/gt6, it's called Stoopid Challenges

I thought that too, Day 1 release copy, install - can't play as it needs a 12gb, 12gb!!! update!

In my mind they'll need another patch/update pretty quick. At the moment I've played my brand new game around 2.5 hours in three days and yet to complete a race or qualify higher than last.

By now I'd have racked up 10+ hours on a brand new game.

That looks a bit fancy!

Managed to have a go. Graphics definitely look worse. Noticed a lot of pop in and none of the game is visually impressive so far.

Did Ford GT and then XJ220s at Spa. They've really changed braking. Seems very easy to lock up/trigger ABS. Possibly more realistic but feels overkill at the moment? Managed to string laps together but all invalidated when I locked up at any point...

XJ was a handful and punished me for lots of poor driving. I think I might have to work my way up to it!

Is there any way to set the amount of time given for practice & qualy? I'm sure we had those options in PC1.

I'm playing on PC and it looks very pretty with a GTX1080, gives a very solid 1080/60 with everything up full. I'm finding the FFB to be a bit curious on some cars with a TX wheel even after the recommended tweaks, but I suspect that's just me needing to fiddle with the settings more.

Has anyone else found the AI to jump in quality during a season? I'm doing the Formula Rookie Euro, and I won the first two races by a good 3-4 secs from 2nd place. The next two races I couldn't get anywhere near them, finishing last at Snet and barely 5th at Oulton after qualifying on the back row and as close to jumping the start as possible! It was like the other cars were running on slicks and I was on ditchfinders, I could not match their cornering at all. Adjusting car setup via manual or auto made no difference, it was literally like someone turned the difficulty up from 60 to 100 mid-season. Frustrating.

This is my first Project Cars and I'm playing on a Rift with a Fanatec wheel. I spent pretty much all of Saturday wrestling with the graphics setting trying to get more than 45 fps out of my OCed 980ti, even on Low settings across the board! Upgrading to the latest NVidia drivers and this video about graphics settings in VR helped a lot:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGc1mbFFGkY

I'm now pretty stable, although the larger circuits (Côte d'Azure and Bannochbrae) are still terrible which is a shame.

I'm loving the breadth of tracks in this game. All the British circuits that I haven't had in a simulator before are fantastic, Oulton and Cadwell particularly. VR really gives you a sense of verticality that you don't get in 2D, so these along with Laguna Seca and Bathurst are hilarious. Driving in the rain with large puddles on the apex is great fun but fps performance takes a massive hit...

I'm also enjoying the cars. They do handle a fair differently to Assetto. Wrestling the big 500SEL AMG around a small circuit is particularly giggle-worthy.

Make sure you turn the braking sensitivity way down in the controls. It starts at 50/100 but I'm down to 2 and it feels about right!

Thoroughly enjoying this!

There are a couple of irritating bugs like the end session one and the dynamic line not working but am sure these will be fixed soon.

It looks and feels a much more polished product than pc1 at launch and when the driving is good, it's very good (bouncing ginetta Jnrs over the kerbs at knock hill) but when it's not... it can be rage inducing (formula rookie at brands Indy).

AI seems quite inconsistent too, can happily win some races in a championship with it set to 60, but then the following race will be impossible on all but 10.

The weather effects with the puddles are mind blowing for a game.

All in, it's fabulous but currently slightly frustrating at times, however I have faith that the small bugs will be patched asap.

What settings are you using on your wheel. I am using a Fanatec v2.5 and cant seem to get rid of a flaoty feeling and minimal feel when going over kerbs. Cars just don't seem to be gripping like PC1

Just turned it off because of this.

Turned braking sensitivity right down and it's better. Still spend most of my time with locked front wheels though. Which gets my lap invalidated.

Dared to look at a kerb... invalidated

I can see a bug with the Formula A rear wing on his video, half of the horizontal aerofoil disappears as he gets close so it looks like a DRS, but it's not because it's in the corners. - 5m02s onwards. Also a change in wheel gfx (red/black car's front right wheel) when he passes the car on the main straight 6m04s. Is that him with his personal settings or are the bugs seen by anyone else?
