I sometimes play alongside my 15 year old son, (PUBG too) with him upstairs and me down. He is waaaay better than me frown
I've been playing video games since the days of Atari 2600 and my 11 year old can beat me at pretty much anything we play. If we play battle royale duos I spend most of my time watching him take on multiple other duos, whilst healing/carrying me around the map smile

I have a friend who was a medic in the Navy. I understand the importance of 'back up' roles in a squad. I use this knowledge to completely justice my role, in my nephew (and his mates) squad of being the bandage bazooka owner; they do all the graft, I heal, team wins.

I just struggle during the "how many kills have you got" convo.

The new star wars skins look fantastic. If they bring out a Boba Fett, Epic will have all of my money!

I jumped on to my first game in a few months to see the updates.

I spent about 5 minutes collecting weapons and then the first player I saw destroyed me as he was a good builder.

I really don't like the building element in Fortnite. Watching the pros play blows my mind. They are building and editing so quickly that I can't see anything but they always know exactly where the enemy is.

I wonder how prevalent people using these are. There are some game where people just get an utterly impossible shot and I think how the fk did you manage that.

As for the builders the pro builders do my head in. I still havent found an effective way to combat a master builder. Even the rocket launchers dont do much against a massive structure. Short of getting them above 3 stories then trying to take the legs away and get fall damage, but most are too smart for that.

TBH i dont play FBR as its not my sort of game, tried it, hated it and went back to BF but in that is fairly obvious if someone is using more than the normal controller. I get even more dubious when theyre clearing out everyone without a scratch and have a have a youtube link in their bio. People can do all sorts of st now on the PS4, from aim bots to auto-shots to getting you kicked from a server.

I got a top end mouse and 7.1 headphones on Amazon. Logitech did a flash sale. The headphones are great, makes so much difference being able the hear the direction stuff is coming from.

Game play at the minute though is a bit all over the place. The winter event has Epic and Legendary weapons all over the place. Now they've added in the star wars stuff. The light Sabres are too powerful. 3 swipes at full health and shield and you're dead.

Started playing this with my 8 year old son tonight for the first time. For me that is, he's been playing ages. Anyway, played 7 games and got 7 Victory Royals in Duo. That can't be right surely? Is there some odd glitch? ...

Historically you'd have been destroyed in seconds by a Youtube superstar as other players were picked randomly. However, following the update you are pitched against people of you own ability, as such you've played against a bunch of 8 year olds. If you continue playing it will get harder as you effectively level up.

We had the same. I've been playing for a about a year and a bit. My daughter got a Nintendo switch and we started playing duos. The skills based matchmaking was using her level which was first time, but I was obviously much better. We got a load or VRs, one match I think I got 15 elimns.
