new patch is generally positive but I don't agree with the increased crashing damage. You already take damage very easily in vehicles.
Is this not pistonheads?! Are we not all driving gods?! Just don't crash :P (Unless pinning an enemy against a rock - that never gets old, wish there was a better "SQUISH" sound for that though)J8 SVG said:

we've had the driver' game crash and none of us can jump out until we crash into something, the best scenario with that is over a cliff and into the water.... although the rebooting driver then drowns! There are also a lot of invisible walls that I've crashed into.
Just think the other two points are fine to a degree..... well maybe fine for solos but duos and squads, cars aren't such a problem and it's going to be a lot tougher to cross those bridges now. But I can understand it at least. Increasing crash damage just seems unnecessary and trying to put off people using them at all.
Are we still enjoying this? It’s really addictive even with all its issues and I’ve managed to get myself to 105th in Europe on FPP solo.
Things I’ve found that help is:
Trying to flip the map, so do some looting, get vehicle and move to further point away in the circle from the plane travel. It makes moving in wards easier.
Also think about the flight path and where people would have dropped relative to the circle, this can help as you can move quickly to the circle stop on the outskirts and get the people running in.
Look where the drops are dropping as the circle will be heading that way.
If some one shoots at you and your not to sure where from, run. Don’t bother to engage and live to fight again.
Also swap out your scopes, 8 x scope is great for looking for people but I feel the 2 x and the red dot/holographic are better for engaging.

So vehicle damage is now too much!!
Last night I had 3 vehicles blow up on me, managed to get out of 1 of them before they went boooom!
First one was a lone gunman driving straight at him in a Dacia and he obliterated the car before I got close! Managed to get out when on fire and hide behind a rock!
2nd one my duo got ambushed as we pulled up to a house and got wasted!
3rd time and this one is the worst !! Driving like a nutter to get out of the blue, clip the odd tree and boulder etc, car is down to around 2/3 health , end up having to drive through a red zone!! Boooooom red zone explosion finished the vehicle off.
It's now like it isn't even worth getting a vehicle as there is a high probability your going to die!

I managed to squeeze in a couple of games yesterday and the amount of burning/exploding vehicles is noticeable. I've never been one to use them unless I needed to cover ground quickly, but now they just seem like death traps.
Having said that, I am finding the final stages of the game more enjoyable as a result.

re;the car death in the red circle area, if you get hit by a bomb, nothing will save you!!! Only a small chance but when it happens ...
As to the drops showing whwere the circle is going,I saw a drop last night right away from the circle,on the edge of the blue, so maybe not always(but this was on PC)

RE Redzones, if you stand still in one you've apparently got a one in three chance of being hit.... not really sure how that translates to vehicles but I've gone through plenty and not died...... but have still died to it a few times.
As has been alluded, hits your vehicle and instant death to car and player, hit whilst outside and it'll down you (but can hit you again and finish you off but it's pretty unlikely)..... any building will protect you from it but the explosions do 'splash' so if you stand in a doorway and one hits right outside then it can still down you if you're close enough.

Had a few top 10’s since the patch and have now gone to 170th, broke top 100 just before but things are a little weird, although sensitivities haven’t changed it has been harder to shoot which has led me to up my scoping sensitivity, which helped a little so they have obviously balanced some of the guns. Getting over bridges is a bit of a chore but I have seen less vehicles used and less in the final few circles. There is still a glitch were you can’t see the people parachute in and you think your on your own but somebody just appears.

This really annoys me and has since the game came out. Just last night only 2 of us (My duo) appeared to land in Prison and have it all to ourselves, nobody came even close. Wrong, 2 guys appear out of 1 building and finish us.Played two games last night and finished 6th in my first one, I landed about as far as possible from the circle so looted and then used a vehicle to get to the middle of the circle and then ran the rest of the way as the circle closed in. died as per my usual method in the top 10 where I got shot in the back by a guy that was good at coming into the area just ahead of the circle. was good to see though that only 1 out of the last 10 was in a vehicle, usually it's 6 or 7. still absolutely love the game, most addictive game I've played in years
Just started playing again after a couple of weeks break as the end car game was really starting to pee me off.
Started by sorting out my settings which I've never touched so lowered most of them down to make gameplay less twitchy.
I've also bought a set of headphones (eye watering expensive,Astro A50's) as i was just using surround sound from the T.V before. This has transformed game play as I can now tell which direction people are coming from.
I then started to play as suggested earlier on in this thread by dropping into heavily populated areas and just having gun fights.Mostly died very quickly, often not having chance to even find a pistol, but i was having way more fun than playing the jogging simulation for 20minutes then death by unseen assailant.
This is going to sound a bit sad to you gaming gods out there but please bear in mind that i probably only play for a few hours a week so describing my skills as p##s poor would be a compliment.Anyway, last night had my best game ever.Dropped into heavily populated area, found a pistol and helmet straight away and won my first ever pistol duel,Just.Got myself tooled up and set off for the circle.Stopped on the way for a bit of looting when i heard someone outside the house i was in who had obviously seen me go in.He bursts through the door and we go toe to toe with SMG's,amazingly i won again. At this stage i'm delighted as the best kill count i'd had in a game before was one and i'm pretty sure he may of been AFK or messing with his inventory.
Off I go again when I spot someone in the distance legging it up a hill, now I never, ever take long range shots as basically I suck at it.However I had an assault rifle with a 4X scope with me so I thought what the heck.Picked him off in 7 or 8 shots (still crap) and he had no idea where i was.
Came 14th in the end but didn't care, great game for me.
So in summary after all my waffling what had i learned.
Headphones are essential.
Take time to sort your settings out as it really does make a difference.
follow the tips supplied on here about getting gunfight practice in,absolutely essential.
