Still playing it too, getting better slowly - think I messed about with the controller settings too much so reset them to default and then lowered them slighty.
Getting a few kills per game now so that's improved.
Still no chicken dinner but been 2nd/3rd quite a few times now.
Prefer playing 2man squad but most of the time end up playing solo.
Think of all the time playing I've only ever had one supressor for an assault rifle, seem almost impossible to find

I have the exact same problem, the amount of times I've been killed because of the clunky looting is ridiculous but it's definitely quicker to press start and chance it rather than look at each individual item to pick up.
There's nothing worse than being stuck in the menu and then hearing footsteps down stairs, don't panic, don't panic, bugger I panicked and now i'm dead, again. This game is very intense as well as damn annoying.
As for finding silencers, very, very rarely do I find one but i tend to land in the quiet spots so loot is very poor.
If you can find an UMP there tends to be quite a few attachments laying around for it,not a bad gun at short to medium-ish range.
My go to gun if i can find one is the Scar but I always seem to end up with an AK.

still playing although the recent patch seems to have been the standard mix of good and bad, although it's steadily getting better to play.
Had an 11 kill CD on Sunday and a 2 kill one last night.
Think R6S Outbreak might take up a bit of time now though.
11 kills in one game.....is that solo,if so very impressive.Had an 11 kill CD on Sunday and a 2 kill one last night.

That kill count there is about 8 games for me.
13 days worth of play time on this now and still loving it just as much as ever. Managed my 3rd solo dinner yesterday though most of my dinners are in squads at around 30.
The game is definitely best/more fun in squads.
As for loot. I/we tend to try and land at the biggest town/area within reach of the plane. Last night for example I found AR suppressor in about 6 matches in a row. The game definitely rewards high risk areas with good loot. The only way you are gonna improve is if you look for the confrontation. I play with quite an aggressive squad which, most of the time, pays off with good results.
Also, since moving to controller preset B I have increased my kill count no end.

With regards to the supressors, I do tend to try and head for areas less likely to attract a lot of people initially.
Always tend to die early on if it's in a high population area.
Will try going for the higher risk areas though, best way to improve
I play TPP to practice firefighting and drop in to hot areas. Always tend to die early on if it's in a high population area.

I’m now on my 6th chicken dinner but only have 5 logged due to the stats issue. Currently sat at about 144th in Europe on FPP and stats say I get a top 10 60% of the time, so I’m happy with that.
I’ve noticed that the looting has been ste since the last patch and my favourite spots aren’t delivering what they used too.

Squads, it's a lot harder to get that many in solos. That kill count there is about 8 games for me.
We bridge trolled and managed to blow up two cars full of people, that accounted for a lot of them!
A lot of my friends seem to hate the DP and the AKM and I don't mind either so I tend to end up with one (or more) and all the ammo I could ever need so spray and pray a lot in the early game.
I'm still playing, think I'm up to almost 3 days playing time now and still haven't won one, I always play TPP solo apart from a 1 man squad game I tried which was a bit odd as I hardly saw anyone until the final few circles, killed a few but that then alerted the remaining two squads as to where I was so I got killed pretty quickly.
I'm finding it more and more difficult as it seems players are getting a lot better and a lot of the strategies I used to use which helped (i.e. land and then drive well away from the flight path to loot then enter the circle from the opposite side) are now being used by more people too, also I'm still crap in a shootout
top 10 % in TPP is about 15%
Still my favourite game, though I downloaded Fortnite yesterday so will have a go at that soon, not that I expect to do any better at that

I've gone full circle now and will drop straight into any town we're flying over, unless the squad is especially nervous. Why bother looting when you can get other players/squads to loot for you, kill them and then steal there stuff?I'm finding it more and more difficult as it seems players are getting a lot better and a lot of the strategies I used to use which helped (i.e. land and then drive well away from the flight path to loot then enter the circle from the opposite side) are now being used by more people too, also I'm still crap in a shootout

Some people (especially on reddit) seem to think you can only like one of PUBG or Fortnite but they're both very good. Games are a lot shorter on Fortnite and the building adds something. It also runs extremely well and looks incredible on the X. It's a lot easier to just drop in and play a few games if you don't have as much time. Look past the animated setting and it's actually a very good game.
I don’t play much squad as I find the tactics I like to play don’t work with squad play, I’m much more of a kill only if I need to guy. The match making is skill based now but I feel I’ve been having better more consistent games since then. Had 3 games where I was just outside top 10 last night (frustrating) and then 2 x 3rd places.

This strategy should only be applied in the last 2 or 3 circles. There is no point in sitting there not killing someone you can kill but choose not to.Another squad dinner for us last night (Number 33 IIRC). Having a full squad towards the end makes such a massive difference. Smoke grenades are also essential in team play in order to allow for team revives.

Played one game last night for the first time in ages.
Had to check something in the oven just as the game was about to begin, as a result when i came back i was in the water by the shore at the very top of the map having been kicked out of the plane. One guy on the shore head a gun and was picking off people trying to escape. I swam to the next town and did ok looting.
Ended up 18th after losing a shootout due to connection issues.
Have to say the game feels a lot better and smoother now.

Agree - as mentioned above you only get better by engaging.
The aim of the game isn't to kill people and it's totally possible to win solo games with 0 kills (although unlikely). It's a legit strategy to let others duke it out and then clean up the scraps. This isn't COD. The gunplay is terrible and a lot of engagements (especially close range) are a coin toss.
Someone running in the open, toward certain death? Leave him and wait to see where he gets killed from, lay the trap for when they think it's clear and try to loot his crate. If he takes a slither of health or even uses up one bullet that will be intended for you later on then you have a (albeit small) advantage (but not the kill).
Yes it's not as exciting to play as a conscientious objector (I don't do it much), you don't get very good loot doing it and it doesn't look as good on youtube but I think some are missing the point of a Battle Royale.

There is nothing less satisfying than winning the game with 0 kills. Absolutely zero satisfaction.
what is the objective of the game?Edited by N0ddie on Friday 9th March 13:45
How you get to that point is up to you but I'm not critical of playstyles. Winning is winning and as long as you're not cheating and enjoying yourself then who cares?
I've only done it once (and by accident) but winning a solo game with zero kills was tense, hilarious and baffling.
Roadmap has been released. Miramar is coming to xbox in 'early spring' as well as some other interesting stuff.....
