I don't think you can call Rush (a game mode that's been standard with every recent BF, at launch) an addition.Battle Royale on the other hand is good that they're doing it but it seems a bit half hearted (64 players and launching 'after March').

I have started playing Shock Operations (having only really played rush in the main before). It is quite good, assuming the idea is for your team to stand far away from the objective and let the enemy take it...So...the close we've got to launch, the more I have been thinking about getting this.
I really don't want to pre-order...out of principal.....but I like what I'm seeing from the latest round of Youtube videos.
Who else has pre-orederd? Is the premium version worth it do you think? I know we'd get to play it a bit earlier, but is that worth the money.
Also, does anyone know where I can check out which class is going to get which weapons? Curious to see what Medic class gets as that is what I normally play on BF games.

I’ve been playing with Origin Access Premier and enjoying it. Needs more maps, usual moaning about vehicles while they refuse to change class in order to do something about it and some bad mounted gun glitches but it’s fun and better than BF1.I really don't want to pre-order...out of principal.....but I like what I'm seeing from the latest round of Youtube videos.

I pre-ordered ages ago - just the basic version, as it was something like £30 from CDKeys (less than half what BF1 & the Premium pass cost me).If I get the usual 400+ hours play out of it like all the previous BF games that will be excellent value for money.
As I understand it, apart from earlier play the deluxe gives you extra outfits and gun skins and all that stuff... which as a 40+ year old man I think I can live without.
Only other thing was mention of "special assignments", which I haven't yet worked out what they are - does anyone know? If they are standalone single or co-op player missions I guess I'll be gutted, but maybe they can be bought separately later or something.
Talking of co-op, I think it was BF3 that had one or two missions that me and my pal played together - something deeply cool about saying "i'll take the guy on the left, you take the guy on the right - 3, 2, 1 - bang!" Would love some more like that.

I played the Beta, thought it was good enough (some very cool things like anyone can revive a squad made but also a downside with spotting) but overall it was pretty much the same stuff as Battlefield soooo I'm in.... Pre-ordered. Only the normal game though as I kinda feel it is a little "cheating" that I could only find the premium from one source..... I am looking forward to it.

Ah, customer service said they should be sending the keys out tomorrow, and I have the early access edition so should be playable from Friday.Note to self: work from home on Friday.
I had a few games this afternoon, I like it but it has the usual bugs, you’d think they would iron these out pre-release. They also need to have hardcore on release, I hate having to shoot a mag in to someone before they go down.
Overall I’m enjoying it though and enjoy the planes, I hated them on BF1.

Getting a slot on a server seems to be a struggle but I guess that's a good thing. Overall I’m enjoying it though and enjoy the planes, I hated them on BF1.
Some of the bugs are just plain ridiculous, how it's got to this stage without being able to spawn without pausing and unpausing the game or it not using the correct attack / defend dialogues based on who has the flag is basic stuff.
The kit steal annoyance when you try to revive a team member and just end up swapping to their kit was in the beta, how is it still an issue?
Actually swapping things around in your load out is ridiculous still, it exits completely when you've changed one thing.
Earlier on a random enemy soldier was just stood in a field, every time you looked away he moved on the spot but he couldn't be killed and wasn't an actual player.
On the flip side I have total respect for how they have defaulted everyone to the female characters just to troll those who got upset about front line ladies being a thing. It's interesting that you can change the way your character looks, no skin tone options though and despite being a pale chap called Gunter one minute I seemed to be a gentlemen of colour when I died.
Edit: Race is a choice, apparently just not if you are German.
