Sadly I have been playing Battlefield for a long time now, they always suffer from the same problem - other players.... BUT if you can get a few mates to squad up and play as a team and you can massacre them.
I concur. Game is an utter mess as well.

Same old problems year after year after year.

- Lag fest. Pump full clip in someone, they turn round and you are dead with two bullets.
- This in turn means you can’t use semi autos, rifles or shotguns because you can’t get more than one kill. You also can’t get multi kills because you have to reload.
- This leads to everyone using machine guns.
- Match making is st. You get utterly raped and yet it still puts you on same teams.
- No motivation to play objective. Literally none. So no one does. Just sit pumping up their K/D.
- Maps are st.
- Guns are under powered/over powered and trying to destroy a tank alone is utterly pointless.

I could go on and on.

So why play? Occasionally, it works, the teams are balanced and it slots into place the way it should and you remember why you play it. Those moments are so few and far between in this one though.

The game is being sold for £25 now, is it worth going for?

Despite what the zeitgeist would have you think, it's actually one of the best BF games for a long while playability wise, but it does have a buttfk load of bugs, which will make you rage quit every so often...

Got into a bug free server this morning... unlocked the new gun in 2 grand operations. I reckon its possible in one if you get a move on.

I don't think this is entirely fair - I'm one of many who have levelled criticism at this game (largely for being unfinished...) but a lot of this isn't true.

- Lag is an issue across every online game I play. BF isn't any worse than anything else. It's the result of the servers you're playing on, so by playing on a more 'local' one you'll get less lag.

- Literally last night with the 1897 shotgun I got 5 kills for 5 shots by flanking a squad. I would say the most common gun I get killed with (along with the KE7 admittedly) is the Gewehr 43, which is semi-auto. Most of the machine guns are fairly terrible over distance unless prone.

- Matchmaking is terrible I have to admit. It seems worse once youre at lvl50 because it seems to put you with newer players in an attempt to balance the teams, which means you end up as a lone wolf while half your squad camps.

- The motivation is more points/XP and the ability to call in reinforcements. Even many of the assignments require you to kill/defend in the objective area to complete. What more incentive do you need?

- Should you be able to kill a tank single-handed easily? Wouldnt that make tanks pointless? What about aircraft? What's the point of having a force-multiplier like that if you're able to kill it with a pistol?

There are lots of issues with BFV, but frankly these aren't them.

Where do all those unexploded, tossed just before death, grenades go?

They fixed this in BF4 and BF1, why reintroduce the problem again in BFV?

I also think they should make it possible to pick up the grenades that take 20 seconds before they explode and throw them again.

You can. Go near them and it'll tell you what to press to rethrow it

Your experiences and opinions are different to mine. Doesn’t mean either one is right or wrong.

Isn't the point of internet forums to share those differing experiences and opinions so that someone can garner an unbiased view? Of course it's going to be subjective.

You told me my opinion, based on my experience isn’t true.

Have a look round any grand operations, join the squads of the leading players. Nearly all will be sat at back of map, sniping, not playing the objective. If you try and push the objective like the game is designed for, you repeatedly get shot because half your attackers aren’t arsed about winning, they just want a high K/D.

For my money, ptfo and squad play with randoms is the best its ever been in bfv. Not always, but more often. My only conplaint about it is that it seems lacking in atmosphere somehow, compared to 1.

I've 60+ hours in the PC version and I don't see these issues. I normally play Grand ops and apart from balancing issues I tend to find the squads I join will play the objective.

I look for squads that are not full of snipers. Simple.

I'm enjoying it. Not as much as BF3 or BC2 but it's good. Don't enjoy the gun upgrades or levels. Basicly you are levelling up a gun for cosmetics. Don't give a st about that.

You're also levelling up the specialisations which can make a big difference on some of the weapons. The starter weapons have all the specialisations already but the new ones you unlock don't.

But thats pretty easy. Full unlocks happen at level 4 of the wepon (you can actually select a specialisation for level 1-4), which is hardly a challenge and can be done in one round.

Im enjoying it on PS4 - Add me if you fancy it (Martin008) but i think i have a few of you already - Also have a few friends who are now Christmas noobs so not so much playing with randoms.

I have found most squadmates good, im usually mid-high table as i like to squad lead and play the objective! I play all classes and bounce between them, usually using the newest weapon unlock, just one more to unlock on medic although im loving the lewis on support and Ribeyrolles 1918 from BF1
