Finally the game it should have been. However, it is a shame you have these beautiful maps yet only 64 players on them. Hope the next generation of consoles can double that number.

So figured out the Pacific planes, they're dive bombers (forgot the corsair was a dive bomber).

Unlocked the incendiary bombs and spotting flares, devastating on Iwo jima

4 class guns , m1 garand, 1919 mg, Japanese sub machine gun and arisaka sniper are unlocked already, need to play the game and unlock through tides of war- jungle carbine (medic), an american revolver and japanese pistol.

Still have the mx5, house purchase has slowed down the competing however did give some demonstration runs at wrx silverstone last year!

Played with and against a 'competitive' (ie been invited to comps) PS4 player yesterday, 90+ kills 20-30 Deaths. Next nearest person was 60/20.

Asked him if he was using Mouse and Keyboard and he just said no, normal PS4 with a ping of sub 15!

Found him on youtube, which surprisingly isnt full of epic skillz vids but some of his sniper vids was headshot after head shot without even looking:

On the maps we played, Marita - he used the sten and was insta-dropping people, on Underground it was the Suomi.

Though according to BF5 stats, he only got 60 odd kills though im sure in game it was 90+;

Played like a scrub yesterday; was mining the airfields or carriers.

Wasnt always getting a kill mind you but quite funny when i did. If your going to try it, i found best place was half way along for the carriers (by the con tower) and where the planes spawn on the airfields.

Also had some scrubs sit in the boat between carriers, anti-airing the US planes as they took off. No idea who thought it would be a good idea to put a ship there with health and ammo but there you go

Oh - are they not out of the battle area? I'll have a crack at that then.
Reminds me of the hilarious times we had in BF2 when we'd sneak into the enemy airfields, chuck C4 on the planes, hide in the bushes and detonate them after they'd taken off

Updated everything and spent yesterday evening playing. First time I've played in a few months. Ok, I'm hooked again.
Loving the new maps.

I'd never done a 'Tides of war' thing before. Didn't actually know what it was, but I completed this weeks one last night.

This weeks seemed a bit easy but they are good fun for challenges and get camo's for guns, costumes etc free.

was chatting to someone last night who read the reddit notes on the update...

apparently they are dumbing down the power of the guns to equal a m1911 pistol = longer time to kill in order to help the Xmas noobs out. What fking xmas noobs are coming.

so itll be interesting to see what actually happens as if that is the case, i can see alot turning it off in disgust. They need to sort out match making and auto-balancing the teams instead of fking about with skins and dumbing the game down

I am thinking about going back to BF1 for a while also as I am getting bored of putting a whole clip into a bloke for him to then shoot me once with a pistol and I die

If I wanted that I'd play COD.
