The 3-Wheeler is already on the main car list isn't it? As is the Aero - in which case I'd probably want the Plus 4 or 8 in a Car Pack.

The M12 / M400 is a good shout. M600 is in the base game and is an animal!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the TVR Speed 12!

So they are.

Ace smile

I miss the aero from the Forza series

It should be the plus 8 then - basically the aero in a slightly lighter shell

New / updated car list apparently leaked / found. Some new cars on there, most notably IMO is the new TVR Griffith!

I think they've done pretty well so far to include a good mix of British cars though, it helps that the development team are largely British so I suppose they have some direct experience

Greendale airstrip just south of Edinburgh . will Postman Pat's van be a drivable vehicle in the game?

I don’t know if I should be super excited or prepare for disappointment.
Scrolling around the map there, down south is Uffington White Horse. That’s my stomping ground and roads around it are awesome but the roads on the map don’t look nearly as twisty as the real life ones. Lot of elevation change in real life too.

I sometimes think that the reality of games like this is that cars are too fast.. I mean sure they have low powered fun cars in the game, but there’s so many silly fast cars that the map has to cater mostly for them..

I’d love proper true-to-scale tight and narrow roads that you could have a realistic blast around in a 200bhp hot hatch.. but it’s an arcade game first and foremost and the majority of players want supercars and hypercars and roads that allow them to do 200mph on...

I’ve always found in these open world Forza games that I’m in agreement with the above. Taking a slower car and tuning it a little are a lot more fun to drive. My favourite stock car to drive in Horizon 3 was the 190e.. no rocket ship but just right in every way that made it a blast even with a pad.

You are right in that the roads are made more accessible for the faster cars. I have driven Nice and the Amalfi coast that is in Horizon 2 and while parts of it are recognisable the roads are way wider and straighter. You would be lucky to get to 50-60mph on most of the road but in the game 150+ is easy so expect it will be similar for this game. It’s a shame as I find the bast roads in these games are the slower twisty ones.

There is probably some legal reason for not copying the roads exactly like it would encourage people to go out and try and do the times in real life

Indeed, the Celica GT4 in horizon 2 was a great car out of the box.

Yep - there are some great roads around Derwent Water too.

I guess they key is to suspend disbelief and just enjoy it for what it is

Comparison game to real life. Uffington centre top on my map.

Good little triangle, top is really twisty with loads of elevation change, doing extremely well to do 90-100mph on the fastest bits but a fair bit at 30-60mph. Right side is very open and you can hit some serious speed here if its quiet. then after a little recoup at 30mph through the village the left side is mid to high speed sweepers, all with great views and challenges. I have noticed Top Gear mag and PH keep road testing cars on the right hand side of this route as every month I see at least one review with pics from the corner where the time / distance marker is on my pic.

Well I walked along a public footpath through a field to the south Derwent Water and along the western shore only last week.

Unless one has sprung up since, it is safe to say the road they have put there on the map is made up smile

frown properly disappointed here. Just watched a couple of videos on Youtube of people exploring the game and there was quite a bit of time spent at the Uffington White Horse. Apart from the actual shape of the horse nothing else is similar. Hill is the wrong shape and covered in trees where its bare in real life and you wouldnt drive up it. the roads all around it look balls and don't have any resemblance to real world, not even a light inspiration. Makes me wonder why they even put it in, its not like its even a popular tourist spot.

Seems a bit silly when they have gone with going to the details of things like making sheep woolier in winter to put a real world place in and make it nothing like the real world place. The roads around here are lined with dirt banks/ hedges not dry stone walls.
At least in Horizon 2 you could drive around Nice and know where you were going, the roads were the same shape with the same land marks and this continued along the coast but with this one its nowhere near frown

Just for reference the pics on Instagram here are taken at the foot of the white horse, its just behind the parked car. The on road pic is the awsome road along the bottom of it.

compared to this in the actual game

And Streetview. The horse is at the top of the hill straight on from where you are, up the valley

It's a game? It's never going to be a perfect representative of reality.

Although the real road does look much more fun to drive!!

Don’t get me wrong I wasn’t ever expecting a perfect replica. Was just hoping they had used the real roads as some inspiration so that when you drove it on the game you could recognise certain features, there are some really cool features on the real road like the banked corners where the road dips in and out of the valleys and the tree tunnel sections.
As I have said if you compare it FH2 you can tell the roads as a simplified layout of Nice but you can still know where you are going and pick out unique buildings, monuments even car parks around the harbour.

They should have just called it white horse hill in the game then it’s just a generic English landmark rather than specifying which one.

Well if you look at the Edinburgh map - the basics of castle, Royal Mile, Princes Street all seem present and correct

So it seems they are sticking to their mantra with doing the town.

Some of the nuances are a little wrong annoyingly, they've missed a side street just off Princes Street where my flat is so I can't park outside it in game haha

They've also completely missed out the north of Edinburgh and Leith were there is a shoreline, ports and industrial areas. Missed a trick there I feel.
