You still hear it playing near festival sites and end of races though. Wouldn't be so bad if they didn't use the same few songs every time.
Hardly a major issue though, is it?

Time for another rant!

Tried to sort out some races with a friend in a private adventure. Eventually manage to get in a convoy and start an adventure. Halfway through lap 1 race 1 we get disconnected. Try again, same result.

Next attempt, my friend is convoy leader and sets up a private adventure with various types of races. Then we discover that you can’t change car between races!? Is that right, or have I missed something?

So essentially you have to pick one vehicle which can do all types of racing, street, dirt, cross country, the lot? What idiotic game design.

Or you pick a series of events for one type, street for example. Then you realise your car is crap and want to try another one for the next race. Nope, can’t!

Tried to join an online adventure and got stuck with 7 idiots doing free roam rush from one side of the map to the other and back again.

They’ve totally murdered the online racing aspect of this game.

Why can’t you just have a simple lobby like Forza Motorsport games. Pick a track, pick a class, race. Then change it up for the next race. It was simple and it worked. Now I have to sit in long loading screens listening to awful music or watching some idiot in a purple suit and top hat doing a moonwalk across my screen.

Playground Games can F.O!

You don't like it then?

Anyways, just got Winter Season 80% sorted with the seasonal stuff. The dirt track speed zone was a git to do, RS200 and Agera wouldn't do it, ended up using a Forza Edition Sagaris upped to X999, and that was only just after many attempts (a fast run up and not drifting is important to keep enough speed up through it). The same car did the job for the seasonal jump stunt too. Didn't get the Ferrari GTO last week, haven't needed to do this week's red v blue stuff.

The winter speed zone was a pain, I did it with a Lotus Elise GT1 with a dirt S2 tune in the end! Rally cars and off-roaders were no good. Found it best to straight line the corners as much as possible rather than drifting. The games thing was a pain with muscle cars and non snow tyres, but the opposition team dropped out so we won by default.

I actually find slower cars can sometimes be better for the offroad speed-zones - you rarely have to go above 150mph. I did it in my S2~840 Bowler with a few tuning tweeks

I rage quit a games session yesterday after my team lost the king game in the last 35 seconds.. we were 2 minutes up but then the other team got all four crowns and took it

For most winter season challenges, I stick traction/stability control on. Even 4WD can be slippy without them on. Really help with the Playground Games events - everyone kept sliding past me!

Completed that in a Bowler Wildcat on the 2nd or 3rd attempt, after failing miserably with a load of other rally cars etc

Or Hoonigan Fiesta ST. You can also cut the corners significantly without triggering a fail, even jumping the first left hand turn by skipping across the grass.

As a side note, I've just sold my Ferrari 599XX Evo for £20 million.
This is available as the 80% spring season prize next week, so if you want to make a quick bit of cash sell it now, then win it back next week. biggrin

I use the Fiesta WRC tuned to 750bhp for the winter speed zones that are on gravel or ice, makes it rather easy... It tops out at only 145mph, but it gets there ridiculously quickly and is brilliant in those twisty conditions

What are you using to do the Pr stunt jump at the top of the map? Tried various stupidly tuned rally specials but can’t get the last 20ft or so. X tuned car can’t make it either

Hoonigan RS200 tuned to X999. Got it first go.

Don't follow the road. Drive away, uphill from the jump on the road and as you get to the first bend in the road veer off the road up the hill to the right, do a u turn and power back down. Now you should have enough speed to get the jump done.

I've got two Moslers built to X999

One with racing V12, 4wd and rally suspension and tyres

One with supercharged racing v8 which is pretty good at anything tarmac, use the other to do the rest, not so fussed in setting records now, just do enough to get seasonal ones ticked off

Porsche 918 fully upgraded with offroad/snow tyres. One of my favourite cars, it's very slidy but I drive it most week for challenges along with the F40 GT so i'm used to it

PR jump at the top of the map, I used an AWD Agera RS.. TCS and STM turned on, lets you use the road to gain speed to hit the jump. Use Rewind if you need to adjust your line around the bend. Car's plenty fast enough to hit the target score.

I played this online for the first time in about 14 months.

WTF is with the non collision thing?! Even the tiniest touch on the wall and into treacle mode! Blimey.
