Forza Horizon 4 !

I’ve had the game pass for a while and planned to use it for Horizion 4 but after playing the demo I’m seriously tempted to buy the ultimate edition.. the graphics and gameplay are great and the car sounds are bloody excellent, the escort cosworth sounds amazing on the overrun
I thought the engine and exhaust sound was a real improvement over FH3. In that I thought most of the cars sounded very similar but in FH4 they really are distinct. The Chiron sounded very strange. Been through the demo today. Does look stunning (except for the people in the cut scenes) and I like Anna calling me Sausage. Shame you can’t fully customise the drivers.
Still disappointed with the White Horse considering how well other places on the map compare.
Driving wise I need to have a bit more time in it and try fiddling with wheel settings. Been playing Project cars for the last month and in comparison FH4 just has no feel for what the cars are up to.

does the demo end at spring, or roll into autumn?
I believe you can 'qualify' for Autumn in the demo but can't actually advance into it.Couple of things I've picked up from Reddit if anyone is interested, though they are relevant only really to PC players..
- If you want to leave the demo but not lose your progress, you can suspend the process and play other games etc. Using the Win + R command, type in 'Resmon'. Find the FH4Demo.exe, right click, and hit suspend. This won't use any CPU power, but it will still use RAM, so watch out if you have less than 16 GB. If you shut down your computer, it will no longer be suspended, and close, but the sleep or hibernate functions keep the game happy.
- In an effort to get people to use Mixer (Microsoft's Twitch competitor?), you can build Influence points for Horizon 4 by streaming, or watching, the game on Mixer: https://blog.mixer.com/2018/09/12/watch-stream-and... - it seems as easy as just linking your account, and either leaving your game streaming while you do something else, or just watching someone else stream and leaving the tab open. Sounds a bit of a faff but if you want to build up some points prior to the game releasing, it might be worthwhile..
Having played the demo through, I will probably pick it up for XB1 when it drops to sub £30.
It's pretty, but really doesn't seem a huge departure or leap forward form FH3. Whilst that's not inherently bad, it's not making me want to rush out and buy it at launch. I don't particularly like the "white room" score menus inbetween races, and the voice acting in the cutscenes seems to get more cringe with each release.
The missus is playing through FH2 at the moment, and there is definitely progression from 2 to 3 and 4.

Pretty much exactly how I felt about it. The only reason I fancy getting it on launch is to be part of the 'rush' whilst everyone is playing online etc. It's pretty, but really doesn't seem a huge departure or leap forward form FH3. Will see if I have any spare pocket money around the launch day.

The free influence on mixer streams is well worth doing. I've been doing it on and off for 3 days and have 140,000 influence to come on launch day.
Are you streaming or viewing dude?ETA: I wonder if the devs expected this...

For some long forgotten reason I'd written off the Forza Horizon games, until downloading FH2 when it was gratis via Games with Gold. Despite the "teenager" elements such as the chatty story line and the Win Spin things, I really enjoyed the game. Particularly the variety, the race what you want when you want and exploring the map.
V v v looking forward to FH4 coming out. I'll be buying it on release day.

that's said hooning through a village north of a ton in a focus RS seems just so right. just wish it was a bit more sim like

Is this the first time you've played a "Forza horizon" title? that's said hooning through a village north of a ton in a focus RS seems just so right. just wish it was a bit more sim like
