Forza Horizon is more 'arcadey' than Forza Motorsport...which is still 'arcadey' compared to proper sims - so I'm not surprised it's not particularly good with the grip/traction levels.

Try iRacing / Automobilista / Project Cars 2 if you want 'twitchy' and 'nervous'. I couldn't even get a bog-standard Z4MC around the first corner of most tracks without spinning.

I stick to the Forza series for a bit of quick fun...and don't think I'd find the sims any fun even with a proper driving rig (rather than just the Xbox One controller I'm using).

Yes, if you want a sim, Project Cars 2 etc. is the way to go. Forza is a middle ground between arcade and full sim.

...just like I have a garage full of 1000 cars, 10 lovely residences, £200m in the bank and no speeding points.

I do find it a pity that there's not more normal daily drivers to upgrade in there...like a mapped 335d or a diesel Alfa 147.

A mapped 335d would surely be x999 class.

All the sims are on tracks which is boring, and mostly with racing end cars.

Road cars on roads, but with fractionally more sim would be fine for me.

To be fair I think the simulation in Forza is fine, the tyre model is fine too... it’s just the outright grip.

Would be fine to just drop 5-10% in summer and 10-15% in winter.

Shame there wasn’t an option to do so and just have the perf rating drop accordingly.

Project Cars 2 is fundamentally broken. I'm glad it was free. Cars don't drive like they do in that game.

agreed. the tracks i know also don't bite like they do in PCars2.

i didn't even bother finishing the first season, it was so hard. raced a friend online, both decided that was boring, haven't touched it since. can't bring myself to buy a wheel when i've got actual cars to drive.

You're darn tooting! I found a pretty good set up on Reddit but my Renault Clio still spun out at 30 mph! Forza may not be realistic but it is at least playable, and fun.

For actual racing though, in my humble opinion, F1 2019 is the best I've played. Probably not terribly realistic but I don't have real life experience to compare it to, funnily enough!

Summer challenges done, over 80% without doing the red v blue games, I can live without a Clio hehe .

The micro machine races vs the drivatar team was fun. For the first go I went with a C600 classic Mini, all the other cars were Ferrari 166MM's. We came close but didn't quite win the 3rd race decider. So I bought a 166MM for myself and tuned it to C600, went again and there were 4 in the player team instead of 6, which helped because the drivatar had less cars to score against. Everyone was in a 166MM again, 3-0 easy win and I got the Porsche.

PR stunts aren't too bad with the Hoonigan RS200 at X999.

How much is the 166MM?
